As we all know, one of the hallmarks of the Tales of Xillia games are the Link Artes.
So tell me, do you, the ever-imaginative players, have any ideas for Link Artes that you would have liked to see in Tales of Xillia? Who would have them, or what would the requisite artes be? This could even extend to Dual Mystic Artes if you have any ideas for them.
I have a few ideas, myself, but I'd like to see some of your guys' ideas first.

I think as far as spells go, it would've been nice to see more expansion on some of the pre-established concepts.
For instance, since Rock Trine + Rock Trine = Rock Hexad and Wind Lance + Wind Lance = Air Thrust, I would've liked to see Splash + Splash = Spread and Fireball + Fireball = Burn Strike or something to that effect.
Additionally, since they went for opposite elements with Raging Mist and Chaotic Fuser, I think it would've been good to round that out with a wind + earth spell, like Earth Bite.
Finally, I think Diffusional Drive + Nurse should've created Marvelous Fountain.

I would have liked any two characters sharing a spell to have a Link Arte that combines that spell.
like Diffusional Drive x2 = Maelstrom or Divine Streak x2 = Some Gigantic Dang Old Light Laser

I think I could see Rowen and Elize joining to perform Demon's Lance Zero, but I'm not sure what artes would be used :s

^^^ I wanted to suggest it but I had no idea if it was plausible >_< I love that spell but its been used, what, once? D:
Also, I could see Alvin and Rowen having one that produces Aqua Bullet (a really big one like Illia's in ToI DS)

Souryuu Zankouken needs to come back. Alvin's Souryuu Rengazan + someone's Light spell?
Alvin's Shunjinken/Shunjinken Houga + Milla's Flare Bomb = Zeppa Messhougeki.
Alvin's Senkuu Shoureppa + Jude's Reppuuken = Spiral Driver, or at least Kuuha Tokkoudan
Milla's Cataract Ray/Divine Streak + Leia's Shoubu Koubappa = Final Prayer, major props if Leia shoots beam out of her mouth
Alvin's Majin Senkoudan + Elise's ..Black Guide? = Jouha Messhouen
If Xillia 2 is okay, Gaius Koujinreppa/Seika Messaijin + Alvin's Rain Bullet = Koubu Senkousen.
Oh and
Milla's Efreet + Musee's Raging Sun = Flamme Brave
Milla's Undine II + Musee's Diffusional Drive = Aqua Rimms
Milla's Sylph + Musee's Cyclone = Sylphis Tear
Milla's Gnome + Musee's Crag Waltz = Earth Tapper |

Okay, here's a few of mine. Got a couple Dual MAs in there too. These are in no particular order.
Leia (Shoubu Koubappa) + Elize (Pikohan) = Piko Piko Hammer (why is this not in the game)
Jude (Raging Blast) + Milla (Particle Rondo) = Shakkouken
Milla (Assault Dance) + Elize (Million Bite) = Majin Senretsushou
Gaius (Kuuha Tenreijin) + Milla/Rowen (Divine Streak) = Shouha Rekkosen
Gaius (Swallow Fury) + Elize (Flutter's Dim) = Shadow Fury
Milla (Raging Sun) + Musee (Raging Sun) = Dual the Sun
Milla (Burn Spread) + Musee (Burn Spread) = Infernal Prison
Rowen (Crag Waltz) + Musee (Crag Waltz) = Rolling Stone
Milla/Musee (Burn Spread) + Rowen/Musee (Crag Waltz) = Eruption
Milla/Musee (Arrivederci) + Rowen (Freeze Lancer) = Inverno
Leia (Shousougeki) + Rowen (Freeze Lancer) = Ice Tornado
Milla/Musee (Arrivederci) + Alvin (Light Spear) = Severing Wind

NOW FOR DUAL MAs
Milla/Alvin = Gouma Kaijinken - SHUT UP IT WOULD BE AWESOME. DOUBLE DAMAGE IF MILLA IS WEARING THE STAHN OUTFIT.
Milla/Gaius = Brilliant Overlord - IT WOULD WORK BECAUSE THEY ARE BOTH PEOPLE OF HIGH AUTHORITY WITH LIGHT AFFINITIES. ALSO SHUT UP IT WOULD BE AWESOME
Alvin/Elize = Majinken: Setsuga - hey this one actually has some character relevance to alvin. neat.
Alvin/Rowen = Hien Messhoujin - because shut up mystic artes do not have to be a single character's **** property
Alvin/Musee (man alvin is easy to think of stuff for) = Elemental Master - MYSTIC ARTE VERSION IS COOLER SORRY NEEDS EVIL LAUGH DOOM LASER
Leia/Elize = Tyrant Hammer - because hammers
that's all i got for now i should try to think of more Dual MAs because it is fun

Mugen Zekkyoujin maybe? I second that Alvin's stuff is easier to think of, maybe because he's the token classic swordsman of the party.
Jude/Musee should get something like Lord of Creation.
Rowen/Gaius gets Menial Bomber.
Leia/Alvin gets something volcano-ish, with lots of explosion and shades.
Jude/Rowen should get Tres Bien Hip.
Jude/Alvin gets some finishing galactic brofist, but has a 50% chance of failing and they kill each other.
Does Milla swing Gaius around during Gouma Kaijinken though? |
