The only other MH "clone" I've ever played was God Eater and that was amazing. Instead of a tribal-like atmosphere it's set in a more urban setting has an actual storyline, more mission-based, and more customization in terms of weaponry (whereas MH is more on armor sets).
Looks interesting overall.

On one hand, Panopticon seemed unrelated to the game. On the other, Freedom Wars is hella generic.

I liked the name Panopticon.
I wouldn't say it was unrelated, either. Panopticon refers to a prison design used so that prison inmates could not tell if they were being observed or not. And there seemed to be a whole hell of a lot of cameras in the trailer. (the new trailer even made it a point to mention the ridiculous number of them in London)
