Cause money.
Cause no one buys them.
Cause Namco Bandai had unrealistic sales estimates before.
Cause they're niche games.
Cause JRPGS aren't popular like they once were.

Mainly because they cost a lot to localize, but only garner acceptable to decent profits.

I'm so happy/impressed with how quickly you summed it up.

Cause Bad naming convention. Illia and Ruca don't make sense. Luca and Iria would be work. Garr, Bruiser and Karyl have been weird naming and they have not localized ToD DC.

It's not like they're out of place, though. Many people on this forum prefer Garr to Woodrow, and isn't Bruiser a reference to some fighting champion idk. Oh and someone on this forum told me they renamed Johnny as Karyl because of gender confusion? I could be wrong about this entire post...

Some of the games don't sell too hot in even Japan. There's no reason to bring games like Innocence R and Hearts R over here.

Not like good sales in Japan ever mattered for localization anyway.

If it sells like **** in Japan, it's gonna crash and burn in the US.

There's also the console jumping thing they used to do, leaving behind their claim to fame with one system to pursue another with next to no advertising efforts.

I will agree that Iria is better than Ilia but Luca is still bad IMO. Ruka I could sort of see. Garr is kinda WTF but Karyl is fine if you ignore the original japanese and Bruiser sums him up quite well. I'll admit, I prefer Kongman but only because it's a hillarious name.

The only naming change I've had a major problem with was Hisui to Jadeite. What an ugly name; use Jaden.

Well, I lied. Ruca is bad, they should have used Luca. Illia instead of Iria is weird, but I could get used to it.

I hear you.

This was me before the localization announcement for Graces f. But that's changed. With Graces f out last year, Xillia coming this year, and potential for Xillia 2 as well as any future titles in the west, I have much renewed hope for the series. More than ever before.

We just need to buy the games. The ball is in our court now.
