Localized Locations

Tales Facebook has some pics of the locations in Xillia localized.

Kijara Seafalls, Bermia Gorge, Aladhi Seahaven, Sapstrath Deepwood, and Sharilton. Any differences from the originals?

Sorry. Why am I always the last to know these things and is there really such a place as Barkingham in Xillia?

Haven't you heard? It's Gaius's city. His castle is now called Barkingham Palace :3

Not to cause another debate, but I'd just like to say that simply changing the location names won't completely take away the original meaning and atmosphere of the world. You say Xillia's locations have an asian feel to them. That won't be lost in translation. Sure, the original references may be more difficult to find, but the game's graphics and music will still represent the game the way it was meant to be.

I'm sure that other Tales games had some things change, but didn't effect the overall feel of the game. I just thought I'd say this.

^True. The "Strahtan" Bird in ToGf, for example, didn't ruin the Russian feel of Fendel. It just looks bad when they intentionally change a reference to refer to something wrong. I hope Xillia's localization doesn't do that.

Kind of unrelated, but I would be really disappointed if they decided to remove the Liese Maxian letters/katakana/hiragana font/characters out of the menus and stuff, like what they did with the location titles in Graces. They really add a lot the the "Asian" feel of the game's graphic design.

I'm kinda...okay about this.

"Your Mana Gate is tip top" is kinda iffy too lol.
