To all you fellow Tales fans, I'd like to thank you for being enthusiastic and excited with us for Tales of Xillia's western release. We wanted to celebrate the series' 15th anniversary in North America, just as Xillia was the 15th anniversary title in Japan.

To do so, we could think of no better way than releasing Tales of Xillia exactly 15 years after Tales of Destiny first released in North America. That's right, Tales of Xillia is releasing September 30, 2013.

Thank you, and please be excited.

No, "how would you react" asks you to react to a hypothetical situation.

In my case, FFFFFFFFUUUUUUU's would be had.

LOL.

Wow. EXACTLY 2 years after the Japanese release.

Congrats Xillia, for becoming the new record in largest gap between JPN and US releases for a console Tales of game.

Watch it still cost $60 despite the Japanese version going for as long as $30 online.

The summer fiscal quarter, which is what release windows are typically based on, is from July 1st through September 30th. They could be talking about the actual season too, though.

You did actually read the topic and realize this was a "what if" scenario, right?

Even if they released it RIGHT NOW, it would still hold that record.

For however far a step forward Vesperia 360 was, this is a huge step back.

I have no doubt Xillia has been finished and they're holding it for good timing and/or so they can do a simultaneous launch with Europe.

I think the wait is alright, just so long as they haven't been sitting on their laurels and that they're working on ToX2 right now.

We've known that they were behind on the releases for a while now. Graces f was about a year and a half behind (and ages behind the Wii release), so it was pretty expected that Xillia would be lagging behind if it got localized. I don't see why it's a surprise or even an issue at this point. It's going to take quite a while for them to catch up again now that they've abandoned the NA development strategy they were pursuing around the time of Enslaved.

I wonder... Xill2 could be possible if maybe it was easier to get a hold of the voice actors while they have them. Beats rehiring them again for another date and hoping their schedule is free for that.
