We had a topic about toilets, let's have a topic about beds next.

In what kind of bed do you sleep? (hammock, one person bed, futon, on the floor, two person bed, hybrid, couch, etc)

What orientation do you sleep in? (side, upside down, belly, back, other side, etc)

With how many people do you share the place you sleep? (multiple people in one room, multiple people in one bed, multiple beds for one person, cats, etc)

How many blankets do you use? (1, 2, 3.14, a whole lot of stuffed animals, a whole lot of pets, etc)

What do you wear while sleeping? (pj's, underwear, different underwear, nothing, same clothes you wear during the day, tons of clothes because you get cold even with three blankets, etc)

How long do you sleep on an average day?

How much sleep do you need?

And finally, what is your opinion on sleeping?

Do you like it so much you don't really want to get up in the morning, or are you glad when you can finally stop sleeping? Is it a waste of time?

if any of the questions get too personal, feel free to not answer them.
I'm hunting you down if you don't though, you've been warned.

Kind of bed -
Edmonton : Single bed
Camp : Double bed
Québec : Queen bed

I'm not a difficult sleeper, I can fall asleep almost anywhere.

Orientation : Varies. Most common position is facing the closest wall.

How many people : Alone Sad

Blankets : Unless I'm very sick or it's below -40 outside, 1 is enough.

Wear : Either nothing or underwear, depending on how warm it is. I won't wear more unless I'm really sick or really drunk.

Sleep needed : At least 7 hours I'd say

Sleep got : really depends on the day. At camp I'm more into a routine, sleeping from 8AM to 3PM so 7 hours.

Opinion on sleep : It's a neccesary evil to regain your energy.

How many people:
Alone

Number of blankets:
One, always.

Wear:
Pj pants or shorts, depending on what I have washed.

Sleep I get:

Sleep needed:
Bare minimum of 5 hours. I usually wake up without an alarm after 7-8 hours.

Opinion on sleep:
I do it cause I have to.

Kind of bed -
It's a twin, but I can fit two people in it. I think.

I can sleep pretty much on anything.

Orientation : Varies. I usually sleep facing the wall. On my side. But, I do fall asleep on my back, or sometimes even my stomach.

How many people : Alone

Blankets : If it's really cold, I need two. If not, then always one.

Wear : Either my work clothes from the day, or pajama stuff if I change.

Sleep needed : I would like to say 8 to function most effectively.

Sleep got : Depends on how late I stay up, or if I have to work the next day. On average, I would say about 6 hours.

Opinion on sleep : It's my favorite part of the day, but I do not like when I sleep most of my day away Sad

Bed - A one person bed.

Orientation - Usually, I start off on my back. Then I roll to the side. Then I roll to the side some more. At this point, I have no idea what happens, since I've fallen asleep, but I wake up usually on my side.

How many people - One.

Blankets - Always one. Even in really hot weather, I kind of drape the corner of the blanket over myself and find it perfectly bearable.

Wear - My loungewear/home clothes

Sleep needed - I've done well on finals with like 4.5 hours sleep, but generally, I need more than 6.

Actual sleep - During the holidays, I get about 7-7.5. During the university semester, it's closer to 6-7

Opinion on sleep - I like it, but if I could have the alternative to not have to sleep, I'd take it.

In what kind of bed do you sleep? Single

What orientation do you sleep in? Usually depends on how my back is feeling.

With how many people do you share the place you sleep? Since my sister left for Uni I've been switching between her bed and mine since my room can get really cold and I don't want to deal with it. Also my cat comes and sleeps on me.

How many blankets do you use? There's currently three blankets on my bed. And I usually have 5 pillows.

What do you wear while sleeping? pyjamas

How long do you sleep on an average day? 8 to 20 hours

How much sleep do you need? I haven't actually figured that out.

And finally, what is your opinion on sleeping? sleeping is great when you can actually fall asleep

Kind of bed:
Queen

Orientation:
Stomach and side

How many people:
Alone, but my cat is free to stay if she’s behaving herself.

Blankets:
One is usually enough.

Wear:
Jammies.
Long-sleeve/long johns for winter, shirt/shorts for summer.

Sleep I get:
It’s irregular. Some days I get 4-7 hours, others I get 9-12 hours.

Sleep needed:
I need a minimum of 6-7. But I prefer 8-9.

Opinion on sleep:
I love sleep. It’s cozy and warm (most of the time) and allows us to escape and relax. I just wish it wasn’t something we NEED, especially as often as we do; but at the same time, I would find a life without sleep to be horrible. Even if there were a way to negate the need for physical rest, you would still require it for the mind. Emotional rest as well as processing memory. Very important.

In what kind of bed do you sleep?
I sleep on the floor on a big pile of blankets/comforters/sleeping bags/fiberbed - It's surprisingly more comfortable than broken springs on a mattress. I used to have a queen but it was up too high. When you're a wiggler and take about a three foot high flip off your bed and crash into your desk, you're kind of done with that ********. >_>

What orientation do you sleep in?
FETAL
But sometimes on my stomach, sides, head on the foot end of the bed...yeah. I don't have any preference really. As long as I get to sleep somehow. xD

With how many people do you share the place you sleep?
ALONE
But my cat used to sleep next to me, and it used to be impossible without her for me to drift off...but I've had to break that habit on account of she doesn't want to sleep at the same times I do. :')

How many blankets do you use?
Ridiculous numbers. I must have at least twenty-five. Most are under me, not over me, though. :')
Edit: forgot to mention I have 6 regular sized gel pillows, 2 body pillows, and I have no idea how many decorative pillows, though those don't really go on my bed - though sometimes I like to shove them between the wall and my bed to insulate the **** COLD because my bed is right under a window.

What do you wear while sleeping?
PJ bottoms and a tee shirt
I can't sleep with socks on despite cold feet, and I can't sleep whatsoever without pants and a shirt. ;-;

How long do you sleep on an average day?
not enough
0-6 hours, anywhere in there???

How much sleep do you need?
I get by on 4-6 hours pretty healthy I guesssssss
if I'm lucky to get that much

And finally, what is your opinion on sleeping?
WHAT IS SLEEPING
I go days on maybe 3 hours of sleep. /cries

It is kind of a waste of time though - when you're left with a lot to do if you sleep at all. But I sleep anyway. And unsuccessfully, I might add. (And when I was a kid, I still didn't sleep, even when I wasn't "OMG I HAVE STUFF TO DO..." D: )

Kind of bed: Single bed, though I can sleep on Couch or floor.
Orientation: Side
How many people: Alone
Blankets: None
Wear: Same clothes I wear during the day
How long: On holiday it's 8 hours or more. Normally, it's 4-6 hours.
Sleep I need: 6 hours
Opinion: I love sleeping but I do it when I need it.
Btw, watching a girl sleeping turn me on.

I sleep in a twin XL bed. Ah good old college beds!

I sleep in basically every position. The most comfortable is either on my stomach or on my back.

Thankfully, I have my own room now, so I don't have to share. :)

I use two blankets: my comforter and a big fuzzy faux-fur blanket. I sleep with...four stuffed animals, haha. They make it so much more comfy.

I sleep in pj's, which is just short shorts and a random t-shirt.

On an average day I sleep 6 - 7 hrs. Need around that to not be tired the next day.

I LOVE sleep. I take naps often. :) For me, sleeping is almost therapeutic. And nothing beats eating a huge meal and then falling into a food coma.

I sleep in a one person bed because my room is tiny.

I usually end up sleeping on my side. I toss around from one to the other every now and then.

I share my bed with my cat.

I have two blankets. I only use one and the other one just sorta stays crumpled at the end of my bed. I use that one if it's really cold.

I usually wear a plain t-shirt and some sweatpants/gym shorts to bed these days.

I usually get 8 hours of sleep except on mondays and wednesdays because then I have to wake up early for school.

8 hours+ is preferred.

Sleeping is a total waste of time but I seem to love wasting my time anyways so I don't mind it.

In what kind of bed do you sleep? Single. My room can't fit anything bigger.

What orientation do you sleep in? God knows. You toss and turn when you sleep, I have no idea what positions I enter into.

With how many people do you share the place you sleep? My room, my bed. Just me!

How many blankets do you use? Depends on the tempreture. If it's cold, I have a super soft blanket that beats all other blankets. Otherwise I just use my quilt.

What do you wear while sleeping? Usually a soft white t-shirt and then just my boxers. I don't understand people who sleep naked...

How long do you sleep on an average day? About 8+ hours.

How much sleep do you need? I need about 8 hours. I can get by on 7, but I might feel very lazy.

And finally, what is your opinion on sleeping? Sleeping is fun at night. I hate napping, I think it's a waste of a day. I like to get up quite early, about 8:30 - 9:30.

In what kind of bed do you sleep? One-person bed...(Queen-sized at home, I think...)

What orientation do you sleep in? Regardless of how I start out, I always end up on my stomach...

With how many people do you share the place you sleep? One roommate...(Alone at home...)

How many blankets do you use? One...I think it's technically supposed to be a second bed sheet, actually...(One at home as well, but it's an actual blanket...)

What do you wear while sleeping? Shirt and shorts...

How long do you sleep on an average day? 6-7ish hours...?

How much sleep do you need? ...6-7ish hours...?

And finally, what is your opinion on sleeping? If I could, I wouldn't...Naps feel like a waste of time, though if I'm desperate, I'll snooze a bit in my chair to keep from napping too long...Or in class...

In what kind of bed do you sleep?

I sleep in a Queen size bed because I am a huge mountain of man and my legs hang off a twin sized bed, which is made for kids and shorty small types.

What orientation do you sleep in?

In a confused heap.

With how many people do you share the place you sleep?

Room to myself, one apartment mate.

How many blankets do you use? One random comforter, occasionally another sheet, assortment of random pillows

What do you wear while sleeping? Whatever the **** I fall asleep wearing.

How long do you sleep on an average day? 5-7 hours. 5 if the squaddies keep me up ranting about things, and/or if that goddamn two year old next door who screams his **** lungs out at 10:30 AT GODDAMN NIGHT keeps me up.

How much sleep do you need? I'm supposed to be getting 8. That ain't ever happening. Caffeine is my b.itch lover now.

And finally, what is your opinion on sleeping?

My opinion on sleeping is mixed. I should get more of it, I don't get enough because I have to wake up stupid early on weekdays (3:30 am, b.itches) and can't make myself fall asleep at least until 8:30/9:30. However, the process of sleep is goddamn frightful for me.

My brain doesn't shut the **** up thinking about **** when I'm trying to fall asleep, the aforementioned Captain IronLung 2-year-old makes sleeping a random chance lottery, and I generally have fitful sleep when I punch the walls, thrash about, and headbutt the wall until I black out.

Only to be pulled out of my slumber to go be morning news guy.

Again, caffeine is my b.itch lover.

What kind: Queen-size bed.

Orientation: On my back and when the weather is colder I kinda coccoon myself with my blankets so I sleep as if I were in a coffin (lol).

Share: I sleep by myself but I wouldn't mind if someone slept with me, colon three.

Blankets: ~One when it's not winter, then I use at least two.

Wear: Light comfortable clothes. Basketball shorts op.

Hours on an average day: 4-6 hours.

Need: 6-8 hours.

Opinion: Waste of time but it feels so good when you wake up from a nice, long rest.
