Just curious. Obviously, price point also depends on storage, backward compatibility, launch lineup, other features, etc. So feel free to discuss that too. _________________ Gaming in 2013:

I dunno, I never buy consoles at launch. I always wait for the price to drop a significant amount, _________________

Never US$599. Really hope Sony learned that lesson.
The 360's price was already pushing it. _________________

If it had more than, like, five games that I really, really wanted to play, then maybe $450-$500. Otherwise, I tend to just wait until it's in the $300 range before I even consider it. _________________

Damn, I look like scrooge compared to you people.
I only start to consider them when they drop below $250...

I think the highest I'd go is $300, but I'd probably keep putting it off and waiting for a sale...
$200 is probably the highest I'd go without hesitating. _________________

I usually wait until they're around the $200 mark. I think 300 is definitely pushing it.
It's better to wait until the console gets a decent game library first, anyway. _________________

I forked over the $350 for the premium WiiU because I love Nintendo and have no doubt their console will please me.
No way am I buying MS' new console at launch. I wasn't a fan of them this gen, so they REALLY have to wow me to get me to even consider it. And wow me with exclusive games, that is.
I'm actually more excited about how a new MS console means 360 might price drop again, and I might finally pick one up to play a very few exclusives I want.
Sony is another monster though. Backward compatibility and storage space are a big part of determining what price I will pay ... If they have compatibility with PSOne, PS2, AND PS3, I will be willing to pay a higher price ($450-$500 at the very most). And I will want large storage. I might buy PS4 at launch if there are a lot of launch games I want, but if there aren't, at no price will I pick one up right away _________________ Gaming in 2013:

| 400 is pushing it, but provided the library had games I wanted, I'd take the plunge. |

@flamfas if the PS4 has backwards compatability with PS2 at all with upscaling like the PS3 originally had, I will be quite interested. That's one of the reasons I originally wanted a PS3 but by the time I could afford one, I had to get refurbished for that feature. When my second refurb within a month died, I gave up and bought a slim brand new. _________________
