|
|
Since we're still in an alternate timeline, and my previous Emerald run was lost in the sea of time, meaning I just have to start another one.
BUT THIS TIME, I'M GOING TO BACK-UP THIS ****, JUST IN THE CASE NAMCO DECIDES TO SCREW US AGAIN.
Before starting the game, let me tell you something.
Unlike the Emerald one, this actually randomize almost everything.
1) Obviously, wild pokemon and starters are randomized; but they also change the interactable pokemon like Articuno, Snorlax and Mewtwo.
2) In-game trades are also randomized (both the offer and the request), and gift pokemon (Eevee, Lapras, and Game Corner Prizes!)
3) POKEMON TYPES
Every pokemon will have it's type changed, but they'll remain mostly the same for the entire evolutionary family.
4) Not only the trainers will have randomized pokemon, their name will also be randomized.
5) Attacks; level up moves are randomized, but they can learn AT LEAST one damaging move so you can't get THAT screwed.
On that note, TMs are also randomized (but not repeated).
Some moves were swapped for others that appeared on later gens, and some attacks had their type changed (not randomized)
TM/HM compatibility is ALSO randomized, YAY!
6) Lastly, exchange evolution was changed to level up evolution. And they fixed the glitches that plagued these games (Psychic is now weak to Ghost, Focus Energy boosts critical rate instead of halving it)
Before someone asks
Randomizer website: http://artemis251.fobby.net/downloads/redblue/
Now, let's begin our story, one that takes place in the pair of games that started everything.
Coin-flip just between Slivius and Arn, since Tenshigami doesn't fit :P
Best. Mom. Ever.
At least she doesn't send you in a truck like a package to a region in the middle of the frikkin' ocean.
Time to advance the plot.
No wonder the rival is pissed, his grandfather actually prefers the MC over him.
Maybe it's the hat...
So, let's choose our Pokemon.
Well, Tangela IS cute (if they don't use his Gen I sprites)
WHAT THE HELL!!!!
There's no way I'm going to choose that thing.
Guess what I'll choose~
Favourite bug Pokemon, named after my favourite Maverick.
Let's take a look at it's stats.
Ice type. Niiicee~
============================
Vs. Slivius
Rinse and repeat until the foe is down.
============================
And, he's gone.
WILD POKEMON
Yup, a Magikarp with Double-Edge.
Viridian City
Obligatory quest to obtain the Pokedex
Pokedex Get!
And that's it for now, see you next time when we'll travel through Viridian Forest.
Trivia 01: Slivius' Tangela is FIRE/PSYCHIC

I do not appreciate being sniffed
Mr. Mime can actually be really useful (at least in my personal experience)
and lol I feel your pain about your LP. I might have some parts backed up of my ToD one but yeah... I had the next post almost ready, just needed to format it _________________

Did no one noticed this?
*insert "I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going" gif here*
Ok, whatever, let's continue.
Now that we have the Pokedex, let's capture some Pokemon.
Yes! Now, let's take a look at his status.
Bulls are the new dragons! (I'm ok with that)
Catched on Route Idon'trememberthenumberbutit'swhenyoufighttherivalagain.
Fuzzy Ghastly that climbs waterfalls. Seems legit.
I didn't noticed how informative your rival actually is.
SHOWDOWN TIME!
============================
Vs. Rival (2)
Golduck is either Ground, Rock or Fire.
A little exchange of Waterfalls ocurred, but in the end, I defeated it.
Tangela tried to tackle Venonat.
But it's a ghost type. :P
Venonat rulez!!1!!!11!!1!1!
============================
I'll the Rival's dialogue since we have a little more to cover in this update and I don't want to kill your bandwidth. Yet.
New route, new team member.
And we have a second dragon.
I should have named him Zekrom and my Tauros Reshiram :/
============================
Trainer #01
That name actually makes sense.
============================
============================
Trainer #02
This battle was tiresome since both pokemon's attacks kept missing, plus Squirtle had a Substitue.
I ended up using Venonat again.
Well, I can't let Venonat take ALL the glory on this update.
(Even though it deserves it. Also Poliwrath resists Waterfall AND Gust.)
Why do I know that? Because I catched (and boxed) a Poliwag before, and it's type was Water/Rock. Meaning, Poliwrath is ALSO Water/Rock.
============================
That's it for now.
See you on the next update, when we'll have our first gym battle. _________________

So this thread inspired me to start my own random game. I'm not very far (only just beat Brock), but I'm having a blast so far. The best/worst thing I've encountered so far are Dragon Rage-wielding Squirtles. Dragon Rage always deals 40 damage, which is insanely devastating in the early game. I managed to catch one, but only after I was 10+ levels above it. Crazy stuff.
And now Mt Moon has Wartortles... it's going to be interesting trying to get through it. _________________

Whoa, this seems... Chaotic? I like it xD.
Maybe I try it one day, it must be fun (and often frustrating, I guess XD) |
