In most cases I care more for the gameplay, and usually i'm abut to forgiving about some (Didn't mind Hyperdimension Neptunia's combat and healing system. Exceptions are usually RPGS/JRPGS. I don't play COD for the plot, I'll be shamefully honest with that, but I will admit Black Ops story wasn't that bad. BlazBlue, and P4 Arena are other examples of ones that broke the mold enough based on there genre for me to give a dime about their plot.
When I get games like Dynasty Warriors, Gundam, Tekken, Skyrim, Dark Souls, and Dead Rising? I barely care about the plot, and just go in and have fun.
I remember me loathing the third part of Vesperia's plot, however nonetheless; The characters dialogue, and personality gave it a nice beat to finish it. Usually when I play a JRPG I play as the characters I like that plot serves them well. In Persona 3, I hated Ken, and his backstory; so he only ever got used about 1 or 2 times. _________________
