No. None of the GBA ports are. They all feature new translations and (negligible) bonus stuff. _________________

New superior translations, much better presentation in the menus and dialogue boxes
The battle sprites/field sprites and all that are a lot cleaner too.
Loading times are obviously like the blink of an eye now too, which is pretty significant if you played the originals on a disc. Oddly I hear CT PSX still has awful loading times on the PSN version so I'm not sure if the true might be the same for the PSX ports pn PSN. _________________

I tried playing the PSX/SNES versions of the games and I can't get into them. They just feel old and outdated and aren't nearly as enjoyable as their GBA (or PSP, in the case of IV) counterparts. I had the PSX versions of IV-VI sitting around for years and could never get into them, but the moment I picked up the GBA ones I was hooked and blasted through the three. |
I agree, but just to let you know that the SNES version has Butz as the main character's default name. I really wouldn't put in the same level as the PSX version with that aspect. |

the GBA version doesn't have the wacky hijinks of Faris the Pirate like the FF anthology does
GARR MATEYS AVAST YE SCALLYWAGS
translation: hi
Honestly I've been playing the PSX version and I really like it, despite some of the stupid translations. _________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

But the GBA version has "Oh, my stars and comets! HE'S A SHE!" _________________
