In Tales of the Abyss once you've cleared the game, one of the first scenes suddenly features this exchange:
| Code: | Guy: Luke, what happened to your hair?
Luke: Ah, you noticed?
Guy: It's a... rug?
Luke: It's an expensive wig, dammit!
|
Which caught me completely by surprise.
Do other Tales Games have these kind of changes/ inside jokes that are "unlocked" after beating the game?
inb4 gradeshop:
not talking about the gradeshop, except if it explicitly allows you to buy extra scenes

The scene is also different if you have the swimsuits on.
As far as I know, it's the only game that adds such a change.

I believe it's the only one too, but I wish they'd do that some more...though with costumes that doesn't really work anymore except in skits maybe. :/ man I miss abyss! Must not play....

Abyss has another 'secret' scene like that after Luke's haircut. If he's wearing a costume (and thus already has short hair), Tear mentions how he took off his short-haired wig to cut his natural long hair.

Not really an inside joke, but Innocence R's new game plus adds in some Hasta scenes. There is also a set of scenes related to some kind of Fan Club that has to do with Chitose(?)

I agree, little new game plus secrets when using costumes and stuff would be pretty cool ^_^ Ie Raven wearing a certain uniform and the sarcastic comments that could have brought on~

Not even necessarily as new game plus, but simply more reacting to the costumes (like when you go to Flanoir in swimsuits and the NPC comment how you must be freezing) would be cool.
