So, this has been bugging me for a while, but now I've decided I want to do something about it. :/
For the past couple months, my PS3 controller has been completely unusable when it's not plugged into the PS3 via USB. When it is plugged in, it never charges (the battery bar constantly appears as empty), and sometimes the PS3 will act as if it isn't plugged in (I'll get a battery warning, and the controller will still shut off even though it's plugged in).
So my question is: Is this a problem with the USB charging cable, or am I going to have to completely replace the controller altogether? Cause I use the USB cable with my PSP for file transfers and stuff, and it's never given me a problem with that. _________________

| Probably the controller battery is dying. |

Is your PSP a 2000 or newer? If it is and it can charge while in USB mode, then it means it's your DualShock 3's battery. You are using a DS3, right? _________________

Yeah, I'm using a DS3, and my PSP is a 2000.
Sunny told me resetting the controller would work, so I might try that... _________________

| I had this same problem 2 months ago. After I dropped it one day it was fixed. |

I think I had that problem a few months ago
Using the controller to turn on the PS3 fixed it. _________________
