Why should he apologize just because celebrity reporters have nothing else to do than create controversy digging in the past of other people and failing to give the whole context?
That happened years ago, and that protest was in favour of his own nation. He could've chose other words, but it was just to give comfort for his countrymen.

The words he used were pretty extreme and warranting of an apology. Better to just say you're sorry and move on.

Saying that the soldiers and their families should be killed though. A lot of Americans opposed the war too, but other than the Westboro Baptist Church, no American wants soldiers to die. There is a very fine line...
