...referring of course to her habit of making a "compound arte" by just using an Arte and adding a Demon Fang at the end.
Yes, I'm aware that Cless was the one to 'invent' this technique.

Chloe: Hey guys, I just came up with a new Compound Arte! I call it Demon Fang Demon!
Senel: Isn't that just... Twin Demon Fang?
Chloe: Damn, I knew it seemed familiar...

...I kid, though, especially because Chloe is honestly the first character in the series to make the "Alvein style" itself interesting to me. =D

Sure, Chloe is a bit unimaginative with combination artes but she supposedly invented one of the best base artes in the series. Cut her a little slack.

Chloe really does have some good attacks. I like having her in battle, mainly toward the beginning, since she's good to have around. I, myself, don't use her, but if one of the males is not in my party, I usually choose to replace them with Chloe while they're away (simply because Chloe just isn't within my main party). I replace Will with Norma most of the time, but it's still sometimes Chloe. I just don't feel comfortable, if you will, using her myself. She's very useful for long combos, though (even though, ironically, she still doesn't have the "Combo Master" title, and after all these playthroughs... ;_; ).

I'm rather enjoying my Chloe playthrough.
Possibly because chaining Sword Rain to Sword Rain Demon is a pretty effective way to rack up hits without spending tech points as it's cheap enough and takes long enough that I get most of them back by the time the combo's finished. Her Tiger Blade is also rather nice as she has enough air time and forward momentum to jump over enemies with it. Eagle Rising does a fair amount of damage and can be spammed with little risk so that and Demon Fang make up the rest of my moveset.
I've not seen much of use in the rest of Chloe's eres but I've not had chance to try out Phantom Blade (which always looked fun) and the moves that come after it yet.

Playing as Chloe throughout has worked out well for me but I didn't feel competent as her when I tried to pick her up mid playthrough either.
I think she takes a little getting used to but is worth the effort.
