More like people who see emotion as a sign of weakness so they pretend to not have any. No one has sad pictures besides me? Someone post the animal crossing one.

The Ugly one didn't make me really feel anything. Good story, but not enough to make me cry.
The rubber band thing is so true though. D: I totally held on.

I have two dogs, and sad dog stories don't make me cry either. I don't care about animals, to be honest. To the person who said it above, I don't see emotion as a sign of weakness nor do I pretend to be unemotional. I have probably cried over things that some people might consider to be silly. For instance, the 5th Harry Potter book made me bawl back in the day. |

I didn't feel particularly sad reading this stuff, and before jessilt calls me out and says that I'm just pretending not to have emotion, this is the truth. I'd rather be emotionally touched by this stuff in such a pure way, but I'm not. I've read Ugly before, and I always think that it's a beautiful, poignant story, but it never moves me to tears. Also, our family has had a cat for about seven years, and dogs since '06.
Still, I'm not an animal person. Perhaps stories about humans just resonate more deeply with me.
