Raven surviving was not canon, but you could do a non-canon sidequest to let him live?

Raven would be a tear-jerker character if his death was canon. And it would've made more sense to leave him dead considering he was actually being a spy. But to make him live AND rejoin the party without a proper explanation is kind of awful because it raises the question, "Wait, why did you betray us in the first place?"
If he just died we would've understood that he was a straight-up spy who formed some sort of respect/affection for the party (which is why he saved them).

I would have been lost without my Raven. 
That said, I really, REALLY wish they'd given it time before he rejoined. So I guess I could tolerate a little sidequest to bring him back in to the fold, but that sidequest would always be done.

Considering Raven dying in the cave-in in the first place is contingent on chasing him into the cave after Alexei suddenly goes insane and Khroma does nothing to stop him...
Nope. It would effectively fix nothing, and Vesperia's plot would still be pure, nonsensical crap at that point.

You'd still be butt-hurt that NA/EU doesn't get Vesperia PS3 and then some, so your comment doesn't count.
BUT (also spoilers) , back on topic, I'd be pretty sad if his death was canonical, seeing as hes my favorite character, not to mention it'd make the whole Yeager battle kinda lame without him.......
but it'd be pretty much the same as bringing back Claves back to life from Eternal Sonata, which would be kinda empty and serve no purpose other then to increase the enjoyment of everyone who plays the game. I didn't feel any sense of accomplishment when I brought her back, so I'd imagine it'd be the same for Good'ol Raven. |

Hold your logic right there. I'm happy the Sony-exclusive version of Vesperia will never leave Japan. It minimizes the damage done to the 360 version.
Also, "Your criticism on the plot is irrelevant because I disagree with you on a completely separate issue!" lol.

Abicion, WE GET IT. Seriously, whining about how bad you think Vesperia's plot is in nearly every thread in this section isn't going to change it. Most people have enough sense to avoid things they dislike. Or, at the very least, not whine about them every chance they get. :/

You see, Zwei? This is my point. Because people like Vesperia, Abicion feels the need to put them down IN EVERY SINGLE VESPERIA TOPIC. This is why I've grown tired of him spouting the same line over and over. Just because people have different tastes from him doesn't mean he needs to be insulting about it. I am perfectly fine with him disliking the game, but he only says the exact same thing each time he enters a new Vesperia thread.
