Comments and Criticism

Seeing as the Graphic club is kind of dead, me and HotFire figured there could be a thread where you can post your works so others can comment and give criticism.

Hints and tips from more experienced artists can be very useful, so let's help eachother =)

So I started using PS again annnnnd

I didn't use a tutorial or anything. I just threw some things together. ha

Let's start this up :D

EDIT:

Used a tutorial I got from Jazz...

I had to use the freepen because I couldn't figure out the pen ^^;

Haha, I come and go as I please as you can see. The Hazama one was a request, and I think the style is pretty good. He asked for that specific text though...I don't really like it, and I'm garbage with text.

Tried the other tutorial before I move onto another one. I kinda got the pen tool down now, but it just looks weird. Also, like Yink told me on MSN, it seems like there is too much dead space in this one too.

@Jazz: Love it!

@IronAce: I agree with Slider. It would look better if you added lighting! Other than that, it looks great.

@Yink: I love love love all of them (Not too fond of the text in the Mario one though ha) But I love the Krystal one <3 and the Ness one is amazing.

@Emera: the TL and Zelda one is <3

I'll probably get something new up tomorrow sometime. Gonna try

@Slider: Ah yeah. I don't really like the borders either. Kinda like the border on the Tales of Hearts one, but the rest... I should've taken the borders off or tried something different with them. xD I'll try to work on that. Thank you for the comments!

I like what you did to that Yukiko. The "Angel Tabris" kinda looks weird now that I look at it better. Maybe it's just me.

Hi! I'm very new at this sig making thing; I don't know what I'm doing at all xD I just like messing around on ps while kinda sorta following tutorials.

anyway, I was just working on this, and my main question is if I should keep the text or change it or kill it all together?

Wow I like the effects you used, but typically I like the text to be simple and an array of effects on it distracts me from over all image.

I would remove it all together, but if you want to keep the text I just simplify it.

My first actual attempt at sig making. Did this some months ago.
