Ruined Mansion

"The people of Cluvern were never massacred. If you read the official report submitted to the nations of the world concerning my attack... you would find they were resisting the technological development of Gewehr, and of the world as a whole. The minerals underneath their town were invaluable in the development of all sciences, and yet, their people so selfishly refused to allow us to even approach their city..."

"Cluvern was populated entirely with enemy combatants, it isn't against the laws of war to kill an enemy. No crime was ever committed, only a victory. You too are officially an enemy combatant, Raiku, I have the right and consent of Loire's governing body, to put a bullet between your eyes anytime I wish. I strongly suggest you choose your words more wisely in the future... after all, it would be a shame to put all these people out on the street without you to take care of them..."

"Hmph, you can fool the rest of the world, but you cannot fool me. I know what you did. The Mahouni had all reason to not trust humans, not after your kind did to them during the Legendary War, or have you already forgotten your own sins during that age?"

"No matter your reasons, no matter how 'noble' you deem your actions are. You are still...and always WILL be a murderer." Raiku growled, he would never bow and obey this wretched man.

"The people of Cluvern were no enemies to anyone, just victims of your blind justice." Raiku ended.

A woman appeared through with a small group of soliders and he decided not to fight back, for he knew Maxim would not hesitate to hurt innocent bystanders in to gain his goals.

"Stop it! Leave him alone!!" Lola screamed.

Just then the elderly man from before tackled the soliders with a spell.

"Raiku run! Now!!"

"No, don't be a fool!" Raiku gasped. But his warning went unheard as the old man was shot. Raiku couldn't beleive just how cold one person could be to shoot an old man.

"Raiku...!"

Raiku looked to find Symon had also arrived back. "Symon, run!" He warned.

"Now! Raiku, I suggest you surrender immediately, you've done enough damage!"

"You monster!" Raiku growled back, he kicked Maxim, he didn't care if he got shot, it was so worth it after shooting at an elderly old man and innocent Symon, a member of the church, of all the blasphemy!

Two other people arrived, being with the old man at his last moments, he only guessed that one of them was knew the old man. Poor soul...and it was his fault this happened. He will never forgive Maxim, and Maxim will never learn about his mistakes until he relaizes just how evil his past actions truly were.

But he was still getting cuffed, he didn't want to do this, but he had to think of the children.

“Raiku!”

Speaking of which, one of them was there right now. "Kia! No, these people will kill you!" Raiku yelled out, hoping Kia had heard him.

Code:
OOC: Was that good? I tried to summerize everything as best as I could. ^^;

I love the lines that I used to retalite to Maxim's. I have no idea why though, maybe it's because they sound so strong. ^_^

<Zanark City: Mansion>

Maxim knew he was being attacked from two directions simultaneously, and had little time to react. He reached for his pistol, the only weapon on his person loaded with live ammunition, and began to fire wildly at Daisuke. He felt the blunt weapon swung by Kia strike his polymer armor, thankfully, most of the impact was absorbed by the armor, leaving behind a crack in the armor's outer shell. He was knocked off balance by the strike, and forced to back away from Raiku.

"Fukiya! I need some help!"

Fukiya had frozen, stopped in place. She had not expected the old man to die, but it surely had to be a fluke, an accident, she thought, her Maxim wouldn't just kill someone. She was too shocked to move, until the sound of her beloved calling for her snapped her to action. The first thing she did was make a mad dash for her husband-to-be. She pulled a flare out from her armor, closing her eyes and holding it out as she struck it, blinding Maxim, Kia, and Daisuke with a brilliant, red light, dropping it on the floor in front of them. She kept her back to the flare to avoid being blinded by it, and opened her eyes, going first after Daisuke. She caught each of his swords with her armored hands, relying on the armor to keep her hands from being cut as she pushed forwards and raised her knee, attempting to strike him in the stomach with her armored leg.

During the confusion, Maxim covered his eyes, moving away from the light towards Raiku. He forcibly grabbed him, making him follow.

"You're a lot of trouble, you know that?"

He began to drag Raiku towards the entrance, covered by the row of soldiers standing there. Once he got safely behind them, they raised their rifles.

"Fukiya! We've got him! Pull out!"

Fukiya finally broke away from her small fight with Daisuke, beginning to run back and joining the retreat along with Maxim and the other soldiers. The moment she too was behind the row of soldiers, they began to fire, the rubber-bullets peppering the inside of the mansion, as two by two, they exited in pairs, covering eachother's retreat until the very last two ran outside, then, silence, just deathly silence.

<Zanark City: Castle>

Fractal kept far ahead of Crest and Faru, keeping an eye out for them by watching, sensing guards in their path. However, a brilliant, red flare shot skywards, at about that time, and the attention of the guards and himself were all taken by the shining object in the sky.

"What is that?"

"It may be relavent to the mission, investigate."

"No, we can't afford to abandon these two, we need to help them out any way we can."

Fractal dropped back down, following behind Crest and Faru about thirty meters or so.

Zanark City: Castle

"Wait, hold on. I have an idea how to locate the tear." Faru told Crest.

"Huh? Can't this wait?"

She brought out what looked like a small crystal, it let it leviate in the air and show the bright firey arrow guide them east.

"This is a mana compass, with this, we can find powerful sources of power, including the Ragnarok Tears. It's saying we should go this way." Faru pointed east.

"How do you know that it's telling you the truth?" Crest questioned.

"Sometimes you have to have blind faith." Faru answered with a smile before heading east.

"Geez, wait up!" Crest followed behind her and once they reached what looked like a twisting staircase upwards, they climbed up them to the next floor.

<Kia Englehart ~ Ruined Mansion>

When Kia noticed the crack in Maxim’s armor, he smirked and drew back his tanto to his side, ready to strike again as he ignored Raiku’s protests. He was midway of his next strike, his arm swung out halfway before Maxim had cried out to one of his subordinates and a flare was shot in their direction. The vibrant red light temporarily blinded Kia and he drew back his arms to shield his eyes. However, by the time his vision began to clear, he noticed Raiku was nowhere near him and was being dragged away by the Zanark soldier.

“R-Raiku! Hold on!” he narrowed his eyes to get a clearer vision in front of him and sprinted after the drakonite and his captors. However, when he was halfway, the three had already made it passed the line of soldiers and they began firing their rifles.

Kia cried out in pain when several of the rubber-bullets had pelted against his body as he was unable to see them clearly with his still unfocused vision. He tried to move in zigzags to avoid the bullets, but several still managed to slam against his chest, limbs, and stomach. When a rubber bullet pelted against his right cheek, his vision briefly flashed white from the intense pain and he was knocked off his feet. His hand dropped the tanto and it clanked on the ground before being echoed by a soft thud of Kia’s side hitting the floor.

“……Damn it. No, Raiku…” he muttered under his breath and balled his fists on the floor, forcefully trying to push himself up again. By now, his vision was slowly regaining focus and the Zanark soldiers had retreated from the mansion. They’ll pay for that! he roared in his mind and suddenly turned his head back when he heard the sound of sniffling by the hallway entrance. After the soldiers had pulled out completely, the children had gathered there and watched their beloved foster father being taken away.

Seeing their pained expressions only fueled more of Kia’s anger and soon, he forcefully pushed himself up to his feet, despite the pain spreading over his entire body. Taking hold of his sheathed tanto, he didn’t bother to look back at anyone inside the main hall and forced his body to feebly follow after the Zanark soldiers. Showing herself at last, Nora darted off after Kia with a small, wrapped up package tied around her violet collar. Once Kia was out the door he even brushed past Symon outside as well, not saying a word to him as Kia was too focused on catching up with his captive foster father.

~Zanark City *Ruined Mansion*~

As Daisuke was charging in at Maxim, he was not thinking clearly and was only blinded by rage. Maxim attempted to shoot Daisuke with live ammunition, which hit Daisuke's main core on his body, causing him to stagger and stop in his tracks. A red flash had emitted from Fukiya's flare, blinding Daisuke's vision while wounded.

"Ahhh, damn it..." - Daisuke

The flare confused Daisuke's movements and mind, and all of a sudden he's face-to-face with Fukiya, whom grabbed his Holy sword and Demon's blade with her armored hands, protecting her completely. Daisuke is then pulled into her armored kneecap, terribly bruising his abs and forcing him to choke out blood.

"*Cough* Ahh..." - Daisuke

Fukiya retreats along with Maxim and his army, and Daisuke falls to the ground dropping his weapons, which disappears by light. He looks across the floor with blood dripping down his mouth seeing his father's corpse again, face-to-face. He begins to tear up knowing that he failed to avenge his father, and is completely knocked out.

The soldiers retreated out of the mansion and are out of the slums of Zanark City. Still standing by the mansion's window was Etsuko, whom have seen everything and is speechless. She slowly walks into the mansion with a terrified expression, not knowing what to do.

~Zanark City *Slums*~

Awoke from all the loud noise, he gets up from his bed, is Naota.

"Wow what the heck man. All I hear is explosions, gun firing across the street." - Naota

He starts tp rub his eye and puts on his formal good clothes that he stole from the upper plate. He walks out of his little house, and see's a bunch of smoke at the Ruined Mansion which is several buildings away. He walks towards the building and enters it, seeing a an abundant of injured and sad people inside.

"Woo! Damn, something went down in here..." - Naota

He see's Kia struggling to catch up to the soldiers that just retreated. Since Naota saw the soldiers retreating, he knew that they were the cause of what actually went on in the Ruined Mansion. He started running up to the feebly stumbling Kia. Naota ran in front of Kia to stop him from moving.

" Hey man, you're in no condition to walk or continue to fight right now. I honestly don't know what happened but don't strain your body even more when you're in no fighting condition." - Naota

Ruined Mansion

Symon stood speechless at what had unfold. He wanted to follow Kia and find answers, but right now, there are more important matters to attend to. Going near the children who were left, Symon comforted them the best he could. He turned to the body of the old man who died trying to save Raiku and felt a needle in his heart. He then turned to Lola and gave her his pocket watch.

"I want you all to wait here for Crest. When he does, tell him what happened. After that, I want all of you to head to the church. Show them this and mention my name, they will take you in. For now, I want you to stay with that guy lying there. Do you understand?"

Symon got up, "Oh, and tell Crest that Kia has gone to find Raiku and I'm going too, okay? Now take care..."

Looking at all of the children one last time, Symon hurried after Kia. He hoped that he could make in time, before Kia does something stupid.

<Zanark City>

"Fire the flare!"

One of the soldiers briefly stopped during their retreat to fit the signal flare to the end of his rifle, pointing it straight up and pulling the trigger, this time, when the flare reached the pinnacle of its skywards journey, it burst into a slow-burning, green fizzle.

"Maxim... did you mean to kill that guy?"

"H-huh? Fukiya, of course not... I wish things could have gone better, but look at how many people we got out alive with. No casualties on our side, and everyone... but one person... also is going to walk away from this with nothing more than a few bruises."

She frowned, but Maxim shoved Raiku aside, making another soldier pull him along while he moved closer to Fukiya.

"We're not the bad guys Fukiya, this was necessary. If the Ragnarok Tear is all legend says it is, we can utilize that, to bring a new, peaceful era... People will die... but... more will if we don't seize control of this world."

She finally seemed to come to her senses, and turned her gaze forwards, focusing on the escape. They headed east, out to where their ship was waiting for all of them.

<Magica Sari: Gateway>

An elderly man, with long, wild, graying hair, passed through the gates into the city. He was a sight to behold, a living, walking fusion of Genji and Mahouni culture. His right hip bore a Mahouni-made, straight sword, while on his left hip, he carried a genji-forged blade. His armor seemed to combine the designs and ideas of both peoples, using plates of metal and treated leather, in a distinct, highly ornate style. He raised his world-wearied, bushy eyebrows up, gazing at the city ahead of him. He did not know that a person he had once rescued in the past, not only resided here, but had grown to become its governing body, its mayor.

He reached into his pocket, pulling out an old, faded, black and white photograph, one taken back when the technology of photography was still very new, very undeveloped and crude. Upon the old, faded surface of the photograph, a younger visage of himself stood, smiling, beside a far more stoic figure of a Genji woman, his master, his mentor, the only friend he had in a time when he needed one.

Paying no attention, he accidentally bumped into a soldier, and nearly lost his grip on his photograph, just barely managing to hold onto it.

"Hey! Watch where you're going geezer... ugh..."

The soldier passed on by, not noticing the suspecting stare that was given to him by the elderly man. He had seen these soldiers time and time again before, "Gewehr" they called themselves. They were beginning to reach out, even here, on the eastern continent. Their influence was, he felt, nothing more than a spreading, virulent plague.

<Kia Englehart ~ Zanark City: Slums>

Kia staggered only several meters from his home, biting his bottom lip in anger when he had completely lost sight of the soldiers and Raiku. He mentally cursed to himself as his eyes began to water, slightly obscuring his vision, and then the giving him the realization of how powerless he was in helping his foster father. When he heard Nora mewl by his feet, he suddenly felt someone in front of him stop his movements and his face soon contorted with fury.

“Hey man, you’re in no condition to walk or continue to fight right now,” a man’s voice said in front of him and he blinked several times to focus his teary eyes, “I honestly don’t know what happened but don’t strain your body even more when you’re in no fighting condition.”

“…I am perfectly fine!” Kia snapped at the brunette youth, his voice almost rising into a yell, “Now get out of my way! Can’t you see that I’m trying to save someone who is very dear to me?!”

He pushed forward, nudging the young man in front of him with his shoulder as he continued to stagger. Even though his body was in pain, he didn’t care if he was pushing himself to his limit; all he wanted to do was to catch up with the bastards who took Raiku and return him to the children. When he only took a few steps forward, another set of footsteps came up to him and someone was attempting to stop him again. This only agitated Kia even more and he quickly raised a fist, stopping in his tracks, before twisting around to punch whoever was near him—pouring out his emotions of anger and sorrow into the hit.

“And that’s what you get for trying to stop me!” Kia yelled as he wiped his watery eyes to see who he actually struck. Though finding the person to be Symon, Kia gasped and cast his gaze to the side as a faint curse escaped his lips. He didn’t say anything after that to Symon or even attempt to apologize just yet, but he only turned away and began to slowly stagger his way out of the slums. Nora, who was still holding the small envelope package around her collar, remained close by her master’s side.

~Zanark City *The Slums*~

Naota watched Kia strike Symon across the face. He looks down in disbelief and disappointed.

"Crap man, if you're going to act this way... " - Naota

Naota appears in front of Kia once again swiftly with his gaunlet and punches Kia in the stomach enough to attempt to knock him out and cease him from walking any further, or to kill himself.

" The injured should sleep it off... Live now and fight another day. Don't go wasting your life when you know you cannot win now. Trust me, I was just like you."

Zanark City: Slums

Symon had caught up with Kia and found a stranger trying to stop him. When he caught up with Kia and placed his hand on bis shoulder, Kia turned around and punched him on the face, hard. Symon saw it coming. Instead of dodging it, Symon allowed himself to be hit and managed to brace for impact.

“And that’s what you get for trying to stop me!”

Symon didn't say anything nor did he do anything after that. He understood what Kia felt even if it isn't close to the real thing. To Crest, Kia, Lola and the rest of the orphans, Raiku was the closest thing to a parent they ever had. He had found each of them and turned them into a family. He had found each of them and gave them meaning to continue living. Even though Symon isn't an orphan, he had always looked up to Raiku. To see those bastards take him a way like that was like having someone run a sword through Symon's heart, and it was even worse for Kia and the orphans.

"Crap man, if you're going to act this way... "

Symon was brought back to reality with the stranger earlier punching Kia in the stomach.

" The injured should sleep it off... Live now and fight another day. Don't go wasting your life when you know you cannot win now. Trust me, I was just like you."

Symon relieved the stranger of Kia and bowed to him, "Thank you..." Symon looked back at where the mansion is. "..." He didn't know what to think anymore, or what to do. "By the Goddess, why has this happened? Why?"

Dark clouds have begun to form above Symon's head. It is going to rain soon...

<Kia Englehart ~ Zanark City: Slums>

As Kia felt the fist of the stranger connect with his stomach, he let out a painful gasp and fell on his knees, while at the same time Nora had yowled and hissed in alarm. It happened all too fast and the next thing he knew, he was collapsing on the cold cement ground in a daze. He wasn’t fully unconscious, but he was now immobile for either Symon or the stranger to not let him continue his pursuit. When he felt his body being supported, he no longer had the will to continue struggling. Kia realized that the stranger was right and he allowed himself to get carried away by his emotions before he could realize how bad his condition really was. Not looking at either men in the face, he waited for them to take him back to the ruined estate.

While Kia was being taken care of, Nora nimbly jumped on Symon’s shoulders, purring loudly as she bopped her head against his cheek. When she was able to get his attention, she meowed and took the small enveloped package from her collar into her mouth before dropping it in Symon’s hood behind his head. The package had Kia’s name on it and she wanted the man to give it to Kia, since her master didn’t notice it earlier when she was by his side. After conveying her message, she bounded off Symon’s shoulders to the ground and glanced back over her shoulder at the three men before darting off in the direction of the upper levels of the city.

((OOC: Nobody opens the package yet, that's for Kia to open. Also Martel, Nora is heading where Crest is and she is going to be waiting for him when they're done in the castle.))

OOC: Sure thing Akashic. =3 I've got a big post ahead of me today. As I've got the try and wrap the incident at the castle up. XD

Zanark City

Even though was being pushed by another solider, he could still hear Maxim's words from where he stood.

"We're not the bad guys Fukiya, this was necessary. If the Ragnarok Tear is all legend says it is, we can utilize that, to bring a new, peaceful era... People will die... but... more will if we don't seize control of this world."

"I knew it. This was about the Ragnarok Tears. You are a fool, Maxim. The biggest fool I have seen in ages, those relics are sheer raw power, enough to even make the most sane man insane. It will corrupt you and you most certainly won't be able to control it." Raiku warned, shaking his head at the foolishness of the man before him.

"You are only human, Maxim. You don't know what kind of danger those tears truly have, nothing good will come from those Tears, only pure destruction...And no one would be safe, not even the people you're trying to save. I will never tell you about their locations." Raiku added.

Magica Sari: Gateway

Momo left the academy and went to do some shopping before retreating to her lab of sorts she called home.

She noticed a old man being pushed around by a Gewehr solider who didn't even turn around and see the old man was okay. Her nose twitched in annoyance. "What arrogance! Hmph, noble army of Gewehr, my ass." Momo scoffed.

She then went over to check on the old man. "Are you alright? I hope that that solider hadn't done anything too bad to you." Momo asked.

Zanark Castle

Crest and Faru finally arrived at the top of the staircase they were climbing.

"Finally...I...never want...to see...so...many...stairs...in my life...again." Crest panted trying to catch his breath.

"This has to be...it's location, the climb...itself...was enough to kill someone." Faru also panted.

After regaining their breath, they approached what looked like a very old stone door in white marble, with faded engravings on the door.

"Huh, what's this? Grant...thy...rest...to thee...may...celestial...demon...sealed...? Ah, I can't make anything out of it." Crest growled in annoyance as the writing besides from the few he managed to make out couldn't be translated.

"You...can read this? This is ancient Elvish, how did you know about it?" Faru questioned.

"Huh? It was? But...I could read it just fine. Bizzare, I don't remember learning about elvish, and I'm pretty sure Raiku never taught me either." Crest wondered about that. If what Faru said was true, he shouldn't have been able to read it at all, then...how could he know this langauge? Especially if it's ancient writing.

"Hmmm...Let's try rubbing the dust off, maybe we'll have better like like-" Faru used her hand in attempt to rub off the dust, but with a flicker of holy light, it glowed in a holy light and slowly slid sidewards open. Faru took a step back in shock as the doors continued to open.

"...What did you do?" Crest looked to the Elven Princess.

"Ah...I don't know. All I did was touch it..." Faru tilted her head in confusion.

With a gentle thud, the doors finished opening, showing a lightly darken pathway.

"Well...let's go. If this isn't the place to find that Ragnor-whatever then nothing will be."

The two entered into the hallway and arrived at the end to a circular room, with a marble altar in the middle. On the floor, the engraving on the floor showed a symbol of ten tear-shaped symbols around the circle with the emblem of Goddess Lyra smack dab in the middle.

On the altar, resting on a dusty red cushion, a small red jewel, shaped like a teardrop, shined just as strongly as if it was just made yesterday.

"Is that the Ragnarok Tear?" Crest asked.

"Hmmm, yes, this must be it! It's just like the legends in Glenfall say: 'A beautiful blood-red jewel with the shape of a lone teardrop, to signify the tears of the Celestial Demon'." Faru recited.

"Is that so? Well, now that we're here, let's swipe it~"

"Wait! Crest, there is something you should know about the Ragnarok Tear! They are very powerful relics and pure power, if you touch it, you'll get corrupted." Faru warned.

"That's crazy, how can a small jewel like this corrupt a person in second-" Crest shurgged it off and gently took the jewel from it's resting place. The moment he touched it though, he had a very bad headache, causing him to scream in pain and saw a flurry of flashbacks that didn't belong to him, but to someone else...

Once the onslaught of memories was over and the pain suddenly vanished, Crest blinked a few times before shaking his head. "W-what the?! What was that just now?" Crest gasped, trying to ease the pain of the faint throbbing of the ache that his head had just received.

"Crest!! Are you alright?!" Faru hurried over and checked on the Midnight Thief.

"Ah...yeah. I'm fine. Ow, damn that hurt. Is it normal for Tears to do that to someone? For some reason...I thought I saw someone's memories and there was so much pain in them." Crest explained.

"...Perhaps not only was a portion of Ragnarok's soul sealed in the Ragnarok Tears but perhaps parts of his memories were also locked away. Maybe it was those memories that cause people to go insane. Do you feel any different?" Faru asked after making her theory.

"Hmmm, nope. I don't feel anything different, and I certainly don't feel corrupted." Crest shook his head.

"How strange...there had been proven records that the Ragnarok Tears can corrupt people in the Glenfall archives, maybe...you possess some sort of immunity?" Faru wondered.

"Well...in any case, now that we got it, let's get outta this place. I really don't want to be sent to prison, Raiku would never let me live it down." Crest laughed.

"Raiku? Who is that?" Faru asked curiously.

"He's my dad, well, foster dad actually, he took me in when I was abandoned as a child." Crest answered.

"Oh, I'm so sorry..."

"Ah, don't worry about it. I'm happy with my life, as long I have Raiku and everyone back home, I don't need anything else." Crest shook his head.

"...Well, let us put a cloth around it for now, as long as we don't physically touch it, it should not affect people." Faru brought out a hankichief and covered the Tear with it before placing it in her side bag.

"I did not really wanted to resort to taking this without permission, but...the protection of the tears are more important right now." Faru sighed, she really wanted to try and get this tear without stealing, but right now, the king would not take heed of her. Not as long it was here.

"Now...how do we escape...?" Crest looked around the room.

"I already have a plan in place. Please stand close." Faru smiled.

Crest did as he was told and Faru casted a quick spell of teleportation. "Warp!" She casted, teleporting both him and Faru from the secret room back outside the castle.

Outside the castle

Crest and Faru teleported a distance away from the castle, right outside the entrance to the upper plate that would lead down to the middle plate.

"That...was actually pretty cool." Crest complimented.

"Heh heh, thank you. It is not much but does help me out when I am in a pinch." Faru smiled.

"Well, I guess this is where we part ways, it was fun, while it lasted." Crest smiled.

"Indeed. I cannot thank you enough for all you have done for me. I will never forget your kindness." Faru bowed.

"Hey...I have a question, why are you looking for the Ragnarok Tears anyway? If they're so dangerous, wouldn't it be better to just leave them where they are?" Crest asked.

"Well...you see..."

Before Faru could answer, Crest saw Nora who looked like had run a marathon.

"Nora? Why are you here? Wait! Did something happen?!" Crest looked confused but his heart began to clench hard when dread started to fill in his mind.

~Zanark City *The Slums*~

Once Kia knee hit the ground, Naota immediately put both arms around Kia so he could not fall any further. He let one of Kia's arm over his head and attempted to support his movement. One raincloud turned into many and multiplied even further, causing it to rain. Naota looked and turned to Symon.

"Hey I think there are some injured people back at the mansion. We should go take care of them. Whoever was involved should regroup back their for night. It's the most biggest and open building so far." - Naota

Naota begins to walk over to the mansion carrying an immobilized Kia.

~Zanark City *Ruined Mansion*~

Etsuko walked over to the corpse of Eiichi and where Daisuke had fallen unconscious. She sat down looking at the two face-to-face with each other. She sat there waiting for anyone else to come by the mansion, waiting for help.

<Zanark City: Castle>

Upon seeing Crest and an elven girl, Nora raised her head and let out a long, anxious mew before jumping on his shoulders. She rubbed her head along Crest’s cheeks and purred loudly. However, when her eyes met with Faru, she could immediately sense something from her bag. Narrowing her eyes, she hunched her back a little and slightly drew out her claws over Crest’s shoulders, which the sharp tips could be felt through his clothing. The fur on Nora’s tail puffed out and she let out a soft hiss.

For a brief moment, she stared at Faru, but soon she turned and pushed her head against Crest’s face again to force him to move so that they could return to the slums.

Zanark City, Upper plate

"Ow, take it easy, Nora. She's just an Elf." Crest cringed at the slight pain.

"Was it something I did?" Faru looked confused at the kitty.

"Anyway, we got to go to the slums. I think something really bad has happened." Crest said.

"I will go with you. I want to help if I can." Faru turned to Crest.

"Are you sure?" Faru simply answered his question with a nod.

"Alright, let's go." Crest complied and they both followed Nora back down from the upper plate to where the Slums were.

Dewdrop Forest, Sacred Haven

All was quiet within the sacred Haven, a hidden area of Dewdrop forest that only those from the ancient past knew. Deers and birds lived nearby, but in the centre was a large crystal dome. All of a sudden, it crackled with bolts before a bright light shined over the entire area, scaring the timid animals away.

In the dome's place once the light faded, was a Moogi girl, who looked only ten. She slowly sat up and gave a big yawn as her arms stretched out.

"...Hmmm....Where am I?" She said with a sleepy voice and her eyes half-lidded. She looked around her until her relazation clicked in, soon enough, her drowiness was long gone.

"I'M FREE! FREE AT LAST! HAHAHHAHAHHAHA....! Okay, I'm done now." She bursted out manically before quickily recovering herself.

She looked at where her heart would be to find a red crystal embedded inside. "You helped me, didn't ya Ragnarok? Poor guy, he got locked up by that witch. I wish I could of saved him." She looked up sadly to the sky, she decided her new mission.

"Wait for me Ragnarok! I'll save you from Lyra's grasp! Look out Elyansia! Eikona La Lupita is making her debut!" She proudly declared to the world before getting her gourd out. "First though, I'm gonna have some sake and some food. Can't go saving Ragnarok on an empty stomach." She cheerfuly walked off to find something to eat while drinking her favorite beverage.
