GENRE: A Comical Amazing Adventure RP
A Story About Regrets

PLOT
Long ago, there existed a powerful relic known as the Infinite Jewel. Legend has told that it's limitless power could grant wishes of any desire, even those that would disobey the laws of nature and reality. Such a relic had been desperatedly sought by greedy hands of man. The search for the Infinite Jewel sparked a grand conflict and humans viciously fought one another in hopes of achieving the power of the Infinite Jewel. The creators of the Jewel, the celestial beings known as Angels, interloped into the affairs of man and sealed away the Infinite Jewel so that it may never fall into the wrong hands. It remained deep within an underground chamber. It was so deep that no mere man was able to reach under normal circumstances.

The Infinite Jewel was kept safe in this chamber for centuries and humans have slowly begun to forget of it's mighty powers, considering it nothing more but a myth. But a lone wanderer miraciously managed to enter the chamber and uncover the Infinite Jewel from it's sleeping place. As soon as his hands grabbed ahold of the Jewel, it's powers went berserk and the entire world was thrown into turmoil. Nearly all of humanity was cursed and transformed into mindless monsters. The curse spreaded swiftly like a disease and soon only a small population of humans remained. It wasn't long until these evil forces took over the world, seizing it as their own. Even the Angels were overwhelmed and captured.

The Infinite Jewel shattered into several pieces, scattered all across the country. So as long as the Jewel remained broken, the entire world would forever be shrouded in such darkness.

RULES

The basic rules of Roleplay apply. This includes such things as: God-modding, Bunnying (unless otherwise), Discrimination, use past tense and present tense appropriately, pointless arguments and such.

But as this is my first RP for this forum, I'd like to point out a few facts and help clarify my style of writing any story.

I'm quite a simplisitic person because I strictly following the saying how simple can be utmost effective. I won't expect you guys to write a well written three thousand word essay per post, writing exquisitely about every detail. I mean that's wonderful but I always found RPs that were quick and simple to be more fun. Roleplaying is MUCH DIFFERENT from writing a novel. Keep in mind that this RP is light-hearted, not overthetop complex literature.

I also encourage more diverse interactions. Most RPs I've been involve other players to seldom engage thorough conversations with other players and their characters and they never really get past the relationship of just being simply companions. It really beats the purpose of roleplaying when characters behave in such a way.

And I'm not perfect. This is my first RP here. And it's been quite some time since I've actually RPed (I just never seem to have that sort of time). So If I make any mistakes, feel free to let me know.

Also noting, this is a fairly short RP. I don't expect it to pass any more then 80 pages.

NOTABLE AREAS

Happy Town
A secured area distant from danger. It is where most of the regular humans reside. It's total population is twenty-thirtyish. It serves as the haven for non-demon folks, protected by a special barrier which repels any and all monsters. The settlement itself isn't quite large. There is a very cheap store, a very expensive hotel and an old church where the indecisive mayor of Happy Town lives.

Almond's Vault House
Fellow explorer Almond Archion lives on the far outskirts of the country, strictly west from Happy Town. Almond's Vault House serves as the safe house for the player characters, housing essential needs and an effective storage for equipment and tools.

Nofields
The dangerous barren wilderness that is infested by dangerous monsters of all sorts. Bandits also make their homes out on Nofields in hopes of encountering misfortunate travelers.

Bellis's Garden City
A small settlement identical to Happy Town. It sits on the southern regions of the country. As the name suggests, it is a town filled with vivid flowers. It was once a very blissful paradise until a ruthless group of demons took over and terrorized the entire town.

Volcano Company
A tall stronghold that exists in the heart of Nofields. Volcano Company is where the "superior" humans live, protected by a robust wall of steel and tons of powerful cannons. No demon dares step foot into this death trap. Well actually, no one dares. These guys will also shoot at fellow humans and poor angels. Volcano Company is ruled by power-hungry dictator Baster.

Sewer Kingdom
The underground sewers are inhabited by both monsters and fallen Angels. It houses many powerful demons that were so fearsome that certain legends were created revolving around these monsters. Though the place is even more dangerous than Nofields, daring adventurers often travel deep into the Sewer Kingdom in search for special valuable relics that had been lost somewhere in the sewers. Somewhere deep in the sewers, there exists the Demon Castle - runned by the notorious Ogre King.

Monsteria
A town runned by friendly demons. It is a fairly small settlement that rests on the northern mountanious outskirts of the country. Monsteria is the passage way leading to the celestial regions. The mayor of Monsteria is the legendary martial art master Song Lee. A mysterious evil also rests somewhere in this town...

Ghastly's Fortress
A stronghold to the east of Monsteria. A malicious gang of spirits haunt the place and terrorize any who dare step foot into the fortress. This is also home to the gluntonous creature known as Ghastly.

Snow Land
The celestial kingdom of Angels, their immaculate domain. Neither demons nor humans have ever set foot here. Though Snow Land is distant from the chaos dwelling below, it suffers from it's own problems. This is also home to the legendary Astral Dragon.

Secret Skies
Beyond Snow Land exists a mystical land... Not much is known about it, and both humans and demons have only heard such a place from Angelic legends.

Species

Human
There aren't many humans left and those who remain usually turn into a monster eventually. They undergo transformation whenever they take in toxic pollen that's emitted from the carcasses of monsters. Humans possess no special strengths and rely on their tech to battle against the threats of the world. Out of the three, humans are the most intelligent (technically speaking).

Blacksmith - Humans that enjoy constructing stuff. They are the strongest of humans and fight with heavy blunt objects such as hammers. Blacksmiths aren't very agile and suffer from poor physiques.

Marksman - Humans skilled with firearms or any ranged weapon. They have the eyes of a hawk and the nerves of a maniac. Their acrobats and tend to get out of the worst, a trait made up for their horrible physical strength. They also use explosives.

Engineer - These guys fix up tech and are the only ones capable of driving vehicles. Their combat skills are zero but once they equip themselves with some battle armor, they can be a nasty threat.

Adventurer - Marksmanship and engineering skills are often essential when it comes to exploring. These humans share mixed traits from both marksman and engineers.

Inventor - When it comes innovation, these guys can create the wackiest things ever that ONLY they can truly understand to use. They share traits from both blacksmiths and engineers.

Nomad - These lone travelers born out on the Nofields have developed the skills to build their own weapons whilst surviving against the many threats of the world. They share traits from both blacksmiths and marksmans.

Angel
These celestial beings once possessed grand powers but they've been reduced to rubbish after the world was cursed by the Jewel. Most Angels were enslaved by monsters, while a few gone into hiding and became little more than weak cowards. Angels are only capable of performing small miracles such as healing wounds thanks to the dark forces induced by the Infinite Jewel. Angels are immune to transformation, unlike humans.

Slave - Possibly the most common class for Angels. Slaves lack wings and cannot fly. They are also incapable of using magic and have the weakest will power. In exchange they have toughened up over the years of slavery and became brutal warriors that uses swords and spears. Slaves have limited knowledge of the outside world, considering that it's forbidden for them to go out.

Cleric/Monk - Angels that reside with humans. They heal the weak with miracles and have the highest resistence against magic. Other than that, their skills aren't the hottest.

Cupid - These angels are the ones who hide like cowards. They are similar to human marksman. Although their agility is replaced by their incredible flight abilities as well as their "charm". Cupid can use offensive magic (i.e., shoot lightning) but are incapable of creating miracles.

Valkyrie - Slaves with wings. They share traits from both slaves and clerics/monks and use maces as their primary weaponry. (NOTE: Valkyries transform into slaves if their wings are cut off!)

Delinquent - These wingless angels break all the commitments of Heaven. Share traits from slaves and possesses the charm of cupids (can't fly but prove to be pretty agile on their feet).

Esper - Though annoying, these gifted angels are always caring for the misfortunate. Share traits from both cupids and cleric/monks.

Demon
Demons are humans that have been cursed by the Infinite Jewel thus mutating into hideous creatures. They can vary on shape and size. Demons are typically stronger than humans, though this isn't always the case. Most demons are mindless brutes but some still possess the power to reason. And not all demons are naturally evil. Demons are typically evil as they are the counterparts to humans. If a human is a good, then the demon will become bad, and vice versa. As the population of demons GREATLY outnumber that of Angels and humans, they have seized much of the world and reign in supremacy.

*Demons don't have classes.

Will join in a moment with an adventurer type character, but first I need to know something. What is 'bunnying'? I've never heard that term before.

Bunnying: A term used in roleplaying, bunnying is taking control of characters other than your own in order to make the storyline go the way you want it to. Closely related to god modding.

I also thought "What is bunnying...?", so do not worry ha

^ Pretty modern. I can't really say that there's anything that seems really advanced.

@Psychon: You're characters are both accepted. And feel free to make additional antagonists.

Anyway, here's my first character.

Name-Almond Archion
Age-31
Gender-Male
Species-Human (Adventurer)
Weapon-Penrose - Almond refers it as his trusty sidekick. This specialized weapon does not require any reloading and enables Almond to fire with limitless firepower. However the gun fires unorthodox rounds that deal only blunt hits that can pierce through anything. Rather a single shot would be like a rocket propelled punch. This makes Penrose incapable of killing. But despite that, Penrose is highly effective against monsters because of it's brutal power.
Appearance-Almond
Height-4'7"
Weight-167 lbs
Strengths-Witty and cunning. A wild sense of humour complimented by his strong charisma. He is also a good banjo player.
Weaknesses-Short temper and rash. Also, arachnophobic (especially terrified of spiders).
Attitude-He's a cool but crude kind of guy.

Biography-A skilled greedy adventurer with a height disorder who enjoys collecting numerous valuables. He is a brilliant technician and is very fond of machines. Once a husband and father, he now lives a lonely hermit on the outskirts of the country, where he will occasionally depart and venture into the wild to collect any and all treasure. A scoundrel and trickster, he would always cause mischief as he persistently wandered into nearby trouble.

He previously worked alongside Baster in a small freelancer business which made impressive money despite it being just the two of them. The missions the two took on often involved tracking down criminals - usually of the esper kind - and the two quickly rose up into a terrifying duo of bounty hunters. Unfortunately this duo inevitably seperated after Baster's child "Lock" had died from an incurable illness. This forced Almond to close down the business and he soon quit his services, returning back to his days of simple exploring.

After the Infinite Jewel crisis, Almond quickly went into hiding in his Vault House to avoid falling under the Jewel's curse. Though it was only until a few days when Almond learned about to Infinite Jewel and it's shattered pieces. Like the bold exporer he was, he rashly decided to embark on a quest to find the shattered Jewels.
