I have a (relatively) massive list of movies I wanna see for the next 2 weeks now that I'm on vacation for like 3 more weeks.

Here's the list:
- Pulp Fiction
- LotR: The Two Towers
- LotR: Return of the King
- Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo
- Cast Away (thank Curi and Conn)
- Forest Gump

Think that's about it.

My real question is, where do I start, do you un-recommend any of these and what else do you think I should watch.

I politely ask Abicion to not post in this topic unless he specifically answers anything I asked in this post and with actually good stuff. Anything abicion-styled everyday post is not welcome.

Thanks in advance =)

I'd watch both Lord of the Rings when you get the time, assuming you've never seen them (which shocks me), otherwise you'll never get round to them.

Cast Away is a must. It's a brilliant movie.

Yeah, I can't really un-recommend/recommend any films. The ones you have on that list are all worth a watch.

yeah I never watched the LotR trilogy =( I finally caved and decided to watch the first one (only one I own) and really enjoyed it, so now I'm rather interested in the other ones.

You should definitely watch them while you have the time. Return of the King is a masterpiece.

It would help if you gave us a (brief) list of what movies you've seen, what kinds of movies you like, etc.

I can't really think of anything exceptional that you probably haven't already seen, but...

The Austin Powers trilogy (you've probably seen this already, and if you haven't, shame on you)
Easy A (I'm actually serious about this one. I saw it in theaters and it was a good laugh)
Eragon (It's not very consistent with the books, but decent as a standalone movie)

I don't watch many movies myself, so I don't have much to recommend. >_o

... did I recommend Cast Away a long time ago or something?

Anyway, some suggestions with no real theme:

- Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog (don't let the name put you off)
- Forgetting Sarah Marshall
- The Godfather, Parts I and II
- Let the Right One In (the Swedish one)
- Reservoir Dogs (another Tarantino film, frequently considered one of his bests)
- Snatch

Also, check out Firefly (it's a TV series, but it's only 14 episodes) and its movie sequel Serenity.

I love Tom Hanks, great to see those two movies up there.

The Patriot
Brave Heart
The Shawshank Redemption
Ocean's 11
The Pursuit of Happyness
The Man From Earth

are some of my favorite movies.

HORROR LIST:

Let the Right One In
Jacob's Ladder
Session Nine
The Eye 1 + 2 (The originals, not the Jessica Alba Remake)
Altered States
Frailty
REC
Silence of the Lambs
3 Extremes
The Bird with the Crystal Plumage
Dawn of the Dead (Original)
The Exorcist
The Omen
Pulse (Once again, the original)
Interview with the Vampire
Audition

OTHER LIST:

Oldboy
The Shawshank Redemption
Buba Hotep
Kung Fu Hussle
The Departed
No Country for Old Men
The Big Lebowski
Perfume
The Pianist
The Elephant Man
Wonder Boys
Bronson
Moon
Ong-Bak
The Legend of Drunken Master
Hard Boiled

AND THERE YOU GO.

I would recommended any of those. Some of them...Well, you may want to read a synopsis before you decide whether or not you would actually want to watch them. I like them all though.

Just watch Pan's Labyrinth, Legend, Die Hard, Broken Arrow, and Gladiator like 20 times each.

You won't regret it.
