Yggdrasill had a chance to killed Lloyd and his companions during the event in the Toize Valley Mine on the TOS animation, he completely freeze the time zone and took colette. However, he stopped and watched Genis and Raine then he and Kratos left. Why? He could have the chance to kill them and so the whole Lloyd saved the world thing would never happen. but he didn't. Why?

As for your question...I guess he thought they wouldn't really be that big of a threat later on?
