I have feeling that our TotA (PS2 version) will offically become the beta version. XD
It's most likely we will never see this outside Japan since we're still begging Namco to localize Vesperia and Graces, unless Nintendo themselves localize it for us. I'll not be surprised if that happens since they did localized Phantasia before.
I'll be interested if there is Asch mode, though. _________________ Sig made by Rarutos, thank you! <3

I think they are going to localize it, since it's the only RPG game on 3DS. And Namco always take the advantage of being one of the only RPGs on a system (Symphonia GC, Vesperia 360) and localize it. _________________

...Only RPG on 3DS? Yes so far but the console isn't out yet, I'm sure that there will be much more RPGs on 3DS.
Anyway since they localized Abyss on PS2 already and are localizing the anime I will not be surprised if they localize this as well...

If those images are from the 3DS version then it's a port. _________________

Funny considering the Japanese PS2 version is considered the beta version of the English localization. Chances are this is adding the things that the japanese version of Abyss didn't get.
Not interested in the least. Especially if they add new content. Abyss was perfect the way it came out and is, imo, still the best localization despite the glitches and what not. There's nothing really that begs to be added to this, but knowing Namco we can expect some extra costumes at least. It seems EVERY game they produce nowadays comes with that little extra (God Eater Burst, Enslaved, etc.).
Still waiting on Sword of Legendia. |

All I'm interested in are the possible new artes, and perhaps AD Skills too. It's not exactly necessary to change anything, but I imagine that a couple more FOF Changes can be added to each character somehow, to account for specifically light/dark fields. This could even be an opportunity to add some new Tokunaga doll heads for cameos (ie. Hubert head with Houbakka used by Anise... oh the laughs to be had!). I mean, we'll probably finally see things like Guy's Dragon Swarm or Luke/Asch's Binding Doom anyway, considering how much of the unused JP stuff was added to the NA release.
Really though, the original JP game is the real beta in this situation. So much was left unused that there will be a fairly large amount of content for this 3DS port, from both the NA version updates to whatever else will be shoehorned into the game. Perhaps this is for the best, especially considering how much the JP version was rushed just to meet the 10th anniversary deadline. _________________

WOW guys. The amount of bloody hate for NamcoBandai these days is INSANE. You're almost like whacked-opposites, of the Tales fans on Facebook responding every NB post makes with "MOAR TAILZ PLZZZZZZ NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOWNOWNOWNOWNOWNOWNWOWNWWOWOW KABOOOM ANGERBLOWUP!!".
They announce a game and you complain. NB deserves a bit of it, but where's the faith and joy from the fact it's a good title? And what's funny is how you guys will probably change your bloody tune the SECOND it's announced Stateside/Euroside.
Ooooh, because we won't *likely* get it. Suck it up. Guess what; some people find the series a bore and bad sales happen. Be happy, there are other, better, games out there too.
Hell, talk to me if you want a Vesperia PS3 and appease yourself, because this has gotten realy annoying to read about. _________________ Updated Feb, 22,'13~!! *

This is interesting. I can't say I'm surprised given ToA's popularity, but it still feels a little too early for a port and/or remake of the game. I highly doubt it's a sequel given the end was purposely left vague. At most we might get an extended scene or something to that effect. _________________

| I'll laugh if they start porting the rest of the PS2 and DS Tales to the 3DS. |

My thoughts: On the one hand, it's great they're porting a Tales game. I have high hopes for other Tales games being ported if this works, and if all goes well even localized. Europe never did get Legendia and Abyss. Plus, they can add some new content.
But on the other hand, Abyss is already a huge game with lots of content. Adding more razzle dazzle will just make it needlessly long and complicated, especially for a handheld game. Considering my history with handheld games, I wouldn't bother to finish it anyway. Huge games like that deserve to played on a big TV, otherwise my attention span runs out after a few weeks. _________________ "TEACH ME ABOUT BAZONGAS!!!"
