Given the fact that it's done by the same crew as the RE movies, I don't have very high hopes. Then again, Capcom is pretty good at ruining their franchise on their own via Reboots, and shoe horned westernization.

It's not the same crew per se. It's just Screen Gems. I'd be very surprised if Paul WS Anderson had anything to do with this outside of producing, and even then.
And if done smart it can turn out pretty nice.

Four
The first half you play as Nero the latter half as Dante but the kicker is that all of Dante's missions are the same levels you did as Nero. Just depends who you enjoy using more the fanbase obviously preferring Dante because he's freaking Dante.

I think it will depend on if the go for original dante or emo dante nobody **** likes.
I also read that it was confirmed the new dmc is a prequel.

Most people seem to hate it because it has little to do with the over all DMC plot. Dante is very sedate in DMC as well, not to mention Lucia's levels are just Dante's in reverse. Although most of it is understandable, since it wasn't suppose to be a DMC game when it started development. I don't think it's nearly as bad as people say, but it's not a good DMC game.

Which is just flat out stupid. Then again, Capcom wanted them to make it as out there as possible and wanted fans to have a WTF reaction
