Namco-Bandai is making a new spinoff Tales game: the anime you thought of in Tales format. It has the entire story of that anime, from start to finish. And, if the ending of the anime was a Downer Ending or Bittersweet Ending, there is a secret happy ending that you can unlock if you fulfil certain conditions. What would this ending entail?
It has titles, classic Tales artes and items, and generally everything you'd expect from a Tales game.
Out of the entire heroic cast, eight of them are playable. Who would be playable, based on character popularity and importance to the story?
Lastly, each playable character has one Tales cameo costume. Plus, the male lead, the female lead, and your favorite character have one extra cameo costume as a preorder bonus. Which Tales cameo costumes would you like to see each character have?

Well I thought of Naruto, which as far as I know is still ongoing so...it doesn't end. You can keep getting the rest of the story as downloadable content as they come out with it. 
Playable characters: Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke (who will eventually betray you all), Kakashi, Sai, Lee, Ino, and Hinata. They should be important enough to move the story along while at the same time keeping the game fun and Tales-ish.
As for cameo costumes....
Naruto can have Kyle (pre-order bonus) pre Shippuden because of blond spikey hair and Senel post Shippuden because they look and fight similar.
Sakura can have Estelle (pre order bonus) pre Shippuden for the pink hair and because I think Estelle's personality fits her better there and Farah post Shippuden because it fits well.
Sasuke can have Leon because they act so similar.
Kakashi can be Raven. His pre order bonus can be Kratos.
Sai as Jay the Unseen might be funny because they're both pale emotionless beings.
Lee as Bruiser Khang aka Kong Man because they're both eccentric.
Ino as Arche because they're similar.
Hinata can have Colette for the same reason.

I don't want to spoil this, but I would love if it also incorporates the second half of the light novels along with the whole anime series, and yes, with a chance to save two special characters in the end ;___;

The main six: Lina, Gourry, Amelia, Zelgadis, Luke, Milina.
Temporal characters: Sylphiel, Naga, Xellos and Noah (from "The Hourglass of Falces).
Martina and Zanglus will make a cameo in the arena.
About Pokota, he will be an NPC since I don't like him that much, but will play an important role in the climax.

Lina = Rita
Gourry = Guy
Amelia = Leia (Xillia 2 version)
Zelgadis = Leon (Judas mask is an optional attachment)
Luke = Shing/Xing/Sieghrt
Milina = Meredy with her Celestia outfit
Sylphiel = Natalia
Naga = Either Pronyma due to her "evil" costume, or Sheena because of her golem summons.
Xellos = Waltu/Walt/Walthever(?) from Rebirth
Noah = Iria
I can SEE the whole game in my mind.
