Nero was the Raiden of the series, you shall be crucified for mentioning!

I actually really liked Raiden and can't wait for Rising. DMC4 was great.

Hey man, he managed to avoid drowning.

Also I really don't care; in fact I actually don't like his design in MGS4 (not that I've played it.)

His design in Rising doesn't look all that different from MGS4, less robot-y. But we all want Rising for the CUTting.

It was the helmet that bothered me the most, and now that's gone. Eyepatch is fine.

As a side note now that I found a working version of the DmC trailer, I hate Ninja Theory even more.

It just looks so generic, brooding and emo. Ebony and Ivory barely stand out (if that's even supposed to be them,) and the scythe is really uncharacteristic compared to the flourishes DMC's usual weapons have. Also, just like Crackdown 2, it seems like it's ripping off Prototype with body slams and crap. This probably isn't going to play like any of the other games, which is the worst part, since what always set DMC apart from the other action games was its input style and take on aerial combat. The smoking also bugs me.

IB4 Brokencyde does the soundtrack.

It's fitting that you should say that; I'm currently hunting down a copy of non-SE DMC3. That'll be my DMC5.

Let's hope that this game is quickly retconned like DMC2 (DMC2 takes place after DMC4 like how DmC takes place before DMC3. With DMC2, it seems impossible that DMC4 could lead into it, and DmC is just too stupid to lead into a game as charming as DMC3. That's my justification.)

What's wrong with Non-SE DMC3? I don't recall anything taken away in this version. Playing as Vergil was something fans wanted in regular DMC3. Imo, he is more fun to play as too despite lack of any character-exclusive items or storyline, he was just a fun character to use.

It's what's "wrong" with the SE. I don't get enough nerd-cred for beating it. >_>

OMG! I really can't believe this. What in the world is happening to my favorite video games. First Konami gave the Castlevania series to a western developers (Mercury Steam). And now Capcom gave the DMC series to a western developers. At least Lords of Shadow didn't turned bad as to what I was expecting, but this new DMC is not only bad, IT'S HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Capcom completley destroyed the series by taking its name and its hero's name to an ugly ridiculous game. Now another game that I'm embarassed to mention it to my friends or my classmates when I talk to them about my favorite games.
Castlevania R.I.P
Devil May Cry R.I.P
Two of my best friends died, and two left.
What's next? Ys 8 by western? or maybe The Next Tales of will be made by western?
I'll never forgive those western bastards.
It's true, nothing lasts forever. *rages*

What was funny is that during the Capcom press conference, Inafune (I think it was him) said: Japanese gaming is not dying, because Capcom is still making games.

Cue 3/4 of their games announced at this conference being made by American devs.

This is a reboot as I have just found out, not a sequel or a prequel.

Ys would never get picked up by a western developer, it's too niche...

A western Tales game could actually be interesting but the series is on its way out.

And yeah Decus, that's a good observation. Especially since these western devs are killing Capcom's Japanese charm. I need a Lost Planet 2 drip, stat.

Edit due to sniping: A reboot is actually good in my opinion, because that means it isn't even part of the original canon, and when we get the real Devil May Cry 5 it'll be like DmC never happened.
