|
|
Hey, can someone help me? I've just gotten Tales of Legendia (YAY ME!). But I've seen the costumes are different from other Tales games. Such as you can't change them with Titles but only with Grade at the end of the game!? How many can you purchase? Can you switch back to the originals? And do anyone have any images or video's with the alternate character costumes? I'd appreciate your help so MUCH!~
Oh and do the voices 'literally' stop halfway through the game!?!?!? _________________ ~Aerith Gainsborough~

Once you pick one set of costumes at the beginning of a New Game+, they're used for the rest of the game.
There's only two types: Formal and bearsuit/mascot.
For everything else: idunno, lol. _________________ SOON.

| You can only buy one or the other in the Grade shop. There's formal and mascot costumes. Formal costumes are one option, and mascot is another. They stick for the next playthrough. And yes, there are no voices after the first half, except for anime scenes, battle, skits, and that one part in the arena. |

When you beat the game you have an opinion of choosing 4 costumes.

And they are permanent. Meaning you wear them all the time through your next play-through. _________________ >Art

You must finish the game first and purchase the costumes with Grade for a new game. You can only pick one set of costumes, though. Whatever you do, don't pick the Mascot ones. They get boring, FAST. You cannot change them back once you've chosen them, either.
Yes, the voices stop, for the most part, after the main quest. The Character Quests only have small bits of them voiced. _________________

Thank You all for helping!
Thanks I'm liking the formal costumes. Do you wear the costumes while on the field and in cutscenes? Aw, but I wish you could switch back during play-through.

Hahaha, yea it would have been neat if you could switch. But they do seem like something that will get boring after a few battles.
I can't wait untill I start playing!
Oh! A couple more questions, sorry. ^-^;;
Can you switch the on-screen character with an S.Flag? And is there is any special quest I should know about??? _________________ ~Aerith Gainsborough~

IIRC there is no "S.Flag," so no you can't. _________________ >Art

The on-screen character is always who you control in battle. |

I'm pretty sure the american version only has the left hand two. I don't know why that would be though. _________________ The ember is dust before the wind... |

No, it's the guys on one side and the girls on the other. It's their formal outfits and then the Mascot ones. _________________

Oh right, it was just the mentioning of four different costumes that confused me. _________________ The ember is dust before the wind... |

I didn't know you couldn't take both costumes and weren't able to change them. That's really too bad.
Well, I guess I'll still take the formal costumes, I really like them.
About something to know for your first playthrough there is Caroline's (or was is Coraline) sidequest. You have to begin it during Chapter 2 and it's very easy to miss. I need to go through a second playthrough just because of this one.
I'll be finishing my first playthrough "soon" (when I have the time to play ToL again). I'll only work on getting 3 titles (Rain down, Never say never and Indulgent) before finishing the game. I'll leave the rest for my next playthrough. _________________

You can only receive them from the GRADE Shop, yes. However, they are only seen during battles, and you cannot change this during the game. The good part is that EVERY character gets their outfit when you purchase the Formal outfits or the Costumes. Just remember you can't buy Formal AND Costume for the same game. It's like trying to buy Half Exp. and Double Exp. for the same playthrough - the game just doesn't allow it. _________________
