Ahhh, I still remember the days when the NA title wasn't announced yet and it was just Knight of Ratatosk. Lots of people misspelled Ratatosk, up to the point where someone said "It might as well be called Tales of Symphonia: Herkmingleblah".
Needless to say, I referenced to the game as Herkmingleblah for quite some time. _________________ "TEACH ME ABOUT BAZONGAS!!!"

So the game sucks because the name doesn't roll off the tounge? _________________ I hate you.

If it's that horrible to you, then why do you bother posting in its section of the forum? Honestly, when all you do is badmouth the game, you're looking to troll (especially with the way you word your responses.) _________________

What? All I was saying is that, while "Herkmingleblah" sounds quite nice, it's a fair whack harder to say than "Knight of Ratatosk". "Dawn of the New World" takes a bit of saying too but that is neither here nor there. We just got into a name discussion because I way trying to explain that calling it "ToS2" against the developer's wishes is nothing more than lazy and annoying.
The name thing was nothing to do with whether or not the game sucked. It did though, it really did but that wasn't why. _________________ The ember is dust before the wind... |

The game isn't actually that bad, is just that people were expecting much more after ToS and it ended being a big disappointment. But compared with other titles this a game is fine, not great, just fine. This is ofcourse as long as you like or at least are able to stand Marta and Emil.
Over all I think that the problem was that this game wasn't thought to please the "Tales" fans, but to please a wider consumers. Or at least that's the impression that it gave to me.
Besides this game had a few good things, like Alice and Decus... And maybe Tenebrae. _________________ DecusxAlice: The sado Pairing FanClub |

No, you canīt stand anything from this game.
Iīm not a tales of symphonia fan, and they did it, just an excelent method to unrage yourself from random things and breaking our minds.
Alice and Dekus may be the shine of the dark, but the cloud is 99.9 covering all.
I Appreciate that you are trying to save this game, but it just canīt be saved.
Sun can burn
Water canīt be mixed with oil.
Electricity can shock you
You know, thatīs how it is.
INB4 getting out, attack me and...oh yeah, TOS 1 fan or being a troll. |

If you know you're trolling, I can't possibly feel bad for giving you points for it, at least. But I suggest you quit entering threads that actually have some semblance of equitable discussion going on and then just dismissing everything that's not your opinion to subsequently derail it. You'll find yourself banned very quickly if this behavior continues. _________________

Don't lie to yourself. |
They did a much better job of cleaning up the ending; that's for sure. However, both games have their ups and downs. This game was a spin-off, so it's not like anyone should be expecting the world's best game. ToS1 was also very popular, so it's natural people were disappointing with getting a simple spin-off. _________________

Look, I might have actually liked the game if it had actually been any good, without adding in all sorts of things that seem implausible to the original's world(s), changing the voices of most of the returning cast to be out of character, pronouncing everything differently, making most of the old characters seem obnoxious or empty (apart from Presea who used to be empty) and even changing the terminology. _________________ The ember is dust before the wind... |

| I did find it annoying that there was no mention of Presea UNTIL you met her. |
