i can view threads when i'm not logged on but for whatever reason when i'm logged onto my account i just am greeted with:

502 Bad Gateway
nginx/0.5.33

i'm not sure why this is or how i'm supposed to be able to fix it. it's frankly annoying to not be able to make frowny faces at people saying silly things anymore

Have you cleared your cache? I've even had it get to the point at which the forums appear down for me until I clear it. But, uh, here's hoping you can actually read this. ^.^;

This has been happening to me a lot recently too. I've tried clearing the cache too. ):

I've been getting them as well. Sometimes I get them a LOT and sometimes I don't get them at all... I used to think it had something to do with server load.

It's been getting a lot worse for me. I can barely post. I can browse the forums just fine when I'm logged out. But once I log in, I get errors every thread I go to.

I managed to post here because I opened this thread while logged out and hit the post reply button and then logged in. The forum will give me an error when I submit this message, and I'll get kicked out before even seeing if my reply made it.

I don't know if this will make it, even.

I cleared my cache again just now and it didn't seem to do much. Do you have any other suggestions?

Do you have another computer? When I have major problems on one of mine I just go to my other computer.

I fixed it!

Apparently, I had to clear my browsing history. I have never done that on Chrome, as my dad periodically checks it. A blank history would be a little suspicious ...

But it took around a minute to clear the browsing history. Which is saying something, as my computer is fast, and cleared my cache in seconds.

Everything is working fine now. I'm guessing my browsing history is what did me in.

So ... I've been having this problem the last week.

It's exactly as Flamfas described it; I can browse fine while logged out, but after logging in, every thread results in a 502 error. Sometimes, if I refresh it enough, it seems to get past the 502 error, but isn't able to actually load the page (it simply stops, leaving me with a blank, white page).

I've had 502 errors strike me before, but never to this extent (usually confined to a couple of boards, and refreshing a few times would solve it) nor this long.

However, the solutions aren't working for me. I've cleared my cache and my browser history, but still have the same problem ...

I can still access the forum from my iPhone, but well, I'd like to avoid that as much as possible :(.

Can you do it from a different browser?

Yeah, what browser are you using on your computer? And do you have another browser or another computer you could try posting on the forums from?

Huh. It only happens in Safari. Guess I'll use Firefox to browse the forums until it goes back to normal.

I normally switch browsers, but eventually the problem with just arise again on the browser I switched to.

So, I normally switch back and forth, or I just browse while logged out.

It might not be a browser issue. I just posted on Safari to see if the error would come and it didn't come.

It's about the browser's cache, cookies, history, etc., not the program itself.
