The X at the end looks a lot like the one in Xenogears Logo and the battle system seems pretty reminicent of Xenoblade(based by the menus on the bottom of the battle system) and the large world. It's certainly a direct successor in terms of series evolution at least.

Same director.

Piling damage on a brontosaurus is how winning is done!

All kinds of Want.

If Wind Waker HD weren't enough to convince me to get a WiiU, this would be.

I'd say it's a Xeno game just because of the mechs. Monolith seems to reserve 'em for that franchise. *Shrug*

Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's an MMO. Character designs would be hella more detailed if it weren't.

It's not new KOS-MOS title. It looks like new Xenoblade title?

A lack of Shimomura would be a travesty.

Have you played Xenoblade? Its got a huge game world and pretty detailed character design (like changing their armor changes their appearance). I think they look a lot better in this game.

Uh, I don't really understand what you're arguing, but the character designs are incredibly similar to what PSO2's got going on right now. They don't give me the feel of "this is a character with backstory," more like "this is somebody made in a character creator."

Xenosaga is done. I don't know why people keep expecting more KOS-MOS outside of crossovers like Endless Frontier and Project X Zone.

There can be no more KOS-MOS without Namco Bandai's involvement anyway, I think. Pretty sure they own the character if not the series.

I think the point was that the character designs for the original Xenoblade weren't particularly spectacular on their own. They relied on the armors the character had equipped to add or subtract interest (or just make them look completely ridiculous).

Yeah seriously the Xenoblade character models looked "adequate" at best, and the faces were frighteningly bad. It was all about pumping all the polygons they could with the Wii's limited hardware into the beautiful environments instead.

I could never figure out why all of the main characters' faces looked so wretched and misshapen when there were some perfectly normal-looking NPCs like Kallian, Egil, etc. All of the party members looked like they'd had their profiles bashed in with a stick, and their eyes wrapped really weirdly around their faces.

you do know xenoblade let you change almost every aspect of the character as far as clothes and design are concerned, right

you could mix and match clothes/armor/boots/gloves whatever completely to your freedom.
