marta lualdi is the most cutest and sweetest girl on tos, and 1 of my favourite not just because of what she looks like but her skills and abilities aswell

and just to add on top of that i am currently on chapter 5 and im stuck lol its where you have to light the candles in a certain order, where you get the red and blue statue and the platform near the statues fall down once you have un lit the candles in the certain order, but after that the main door doesnt open :S its really annoying because i dont have a clue why it isnt working because i used gamefaqs aswell...

I would like to counter what you just said and state my opinion that Marta is annoying, pushy, selfish when it comes down to Emil (and Ratatosk), has a horrible character design and is basically just the incarnation of a Mary-Sue.

The only thing good about her is Radiant Roar, because it heals and attacks at the same time.

As for your in-game problem... Did you press the slab against the wall and then start to douse the candles? Because I'm pretty sure that if you start using the Sorceror's ring without having read the slab, you're bound to fail either way.

Marta is the first healer I've ever found any reason to play as, though that might just be because when player 1 is emil I have no real choice.

heyy its ok now i got past that part, i thought i done the statue combination right but nope i didnt i got 2 mixed up lol but now im stuck in the temple of thunder of whatever u call it haha

I found it fun to play as Marta; I love her style of Artes. I just wish she had more...

Yet for some reason, I find Cheria very tolerable. Possibly because she has her reasons for being so horribly 'indignant' and doesn't start foaming at the mouth when Asbel so much as looks at another female. Plus, she also has a kind, polite side, which doesn't come off as "Eeeheeeheeeh lat's bee friendz!~"

Lastly, Cheria's character design beats Marta's by a long shot.

The joke was, that everything she said exactly applies to Cheria, down to character design which she said was her opinion on Marta. But what she said about Marta made me think of Cheria instead.

@ Meowzy: She may have had 'reason' but her self-centered emotions override logic and sympathy among other things. She's as selfish and stupid as Marta is, but some things Marta wasn't (I.E wanna be 'ms mature team mother',) made her slightly better. She still nagged, but not as much as Cheria.

Mary sue bell rings loudly. I CAN FIGHT--but I will also ensue this incredibly lame kidnapping subplot that this game could not only do without, it adds nothing to the plot what so ever, distracts from more important things, and was just **** stupid as a whole leaving a huge scratch on first impression.

"By the way, have I established I am the love interest and this is my only role in the story yet? Even though the story as a whole could do without this? I am a giant, irritating distraction!

I CAN FIGHT NOW but everyone else can do it better than me-- but I have that really cool 3rd bc you have to go a bit out of your way to get!!"

That "polite, kind side' that suddenly appears is to balance out the 'wow she's so selfish and annoying' just like how Marta does it. But it seems to be in Marta's personality to be like "SUP, LETS VENTURE TOGETHER" like she did with the awkward as hell Emil.

While Cheria is "I AM A STEREOTYPICAL MATURE GIRLY GIRL. But I am also kind and 'motherly' this makes me a good love interest, right? I can bare and raise the perfect kids with my morals and attitude :') I CAN COOK BTW"

What I'm saying is, if anything, Marta and Cheria are on equal grounds with the stupid, selfish, mary sue love interest role. Except, I personally see Marta as a parody of it than a serious(ly grating) attempt at it like Cheria was.

But instead of wishing Marta wasn't there (Since that's impossible and she's the heroine yaddah yaddah) I'm neutral of her/kind of like her. While Cheria I could seriously do without or as a NPC than a forced in childhood friend party member.

Well, for me it's just the other way around, Curi. I like the fact that Cheria has that motherly girly girl side, and I hate Marta's parody-ish "LOVE ME EMIL LOVE ME" side.
