Are you serious? Glowy effects and a coincidentally shared voice actor is your best argument?

What about Exia Gundam using Kyle's Shouhou Zetesurenshou+Souryuu Metsugazan?

Or Mr. Bushido clearly referring to Trans-Am as a hidden "ougi" in the Japanese script?

Or how the motives of the team snipers in both Gundam 00 and Tales of Phantasia involve avenging a murdered little sister named Amy?

Or how Setsuna and Cless are both rescued from almost certain death through similar ghostly means?

Or the final bosses of Gundam 00 and Tales of Symphonia having a vaguely similar character design, similar "look at me I'm playing God and I'm going to re-create the world in my own psychotic vision by enslaving the human race" motives, and names that tie them back to earlier plot elements from their respective franchises?

'cuz, you know, in Mithos Yggdrasill's case, there's only one other specific plot device in the Tales series that bears the name "Yggdrasill," whereas Ribbons Almark has the same initials as Amuro Ray just spelled backwards, and...

okay yeah that one's a stretch, but

How about the final bosses of Gundam 00 and Tales of Phantasia both having immensely powerful long-range laser weapons of some sort named after themselves?

Or how the final bosses of Gundam 00 and Tales of Phantasia also both live in the same magical glitter-cloaked floating fortress?

Or how Mint uses her "purity" to ask a unicorn to help so she can augment her healing powers and create a super-condensed blob of mana to heal Yggdrasill?

Or how Mint's actions enable the party to use Thor's supercomputer so they're able to defeat Dhaos in the present?

Or how Mint does that one other thing that has the same initials and strategic effect as that thing Tieria does?

Or how the ToP OVA intro has that one scene that's exactly the same as another scene in one of the Gundam 00 ending sequences?

Or Arche Gundam? Just Arche Gundam, period.

And how about the fact that Gundam 00's ending fits perfectly in the Symphoniatasia universe if you just swap some characters around, assume Tabatha's physical body can un-merge with Martel in extreme emergencies and is compatible with the souls of other Chosen, and extrapolate on Norn's (Derris Kharlan's version of Martel from Narikiri Dungeon) existence to argue DK has its own copy of the summon spirits and, in turn, Eternal Sword?

You've got a lot to learn, radiant.

Holy hell. Could it be? The Tales series and the Gundam series are just one big reference to one another?

The "hidden Ougi" thing at the very least is rather far fetched. As far as I can tell it shows up in most japanese games where a special move is mentioned by name. Either that or just with Meteor Storm.

It's not so far fetched. Most games would call it an "ougi" for most special moves, but the fact that Graham/Ham/Bushido directly calls it a "hidden ougi" makes a very close correlation to "hi-ougi," taking the first two letters of "hidden" as well as having a similar meaning to "hi-ougi" as well, which means secret, hidden, or concealed technique.

Well, given the choice between Vesperia 360 and Vesperia PS3, I'd certainly say PS3, but I may be biased in the fact that I finished Vesperia 360 in English before selling my 360.

Then again, I find PS3 to be a better console than 360, so it may be worth getting the import version if it means you get a PS3 instead of a 360. Plus, the PS3 version does have extras.

Oh, and I finished Legendia, at long last. That just leaves Innocence, Hearts, Destiny 2, and Symphonia: KoR to finish. Well, out of the ones I have, at least.

Surely such a thing could apply to any ougi that is hidden though?

After all, anyone can call their ougi hidden in the translation if it actually is.

Why would you recommend something so horrible?

I don't think that's horrible at all. Having played both versions, I would definitely suggest playing the PS3 version if one has the means to do so.

There are times Abicion should be ignored. This is one of them.
