Okay, here's my pathetic collection in order of acquisition:

Tales of Symphonia: This was a Christmas present many years ago. For a long time, I didn't even open the game, but when I did, I wasn't sorry.

Tales of the Abyss: Just because my brother and I wanted to play another Tales game (and I had ALREADY become an obsessed Luke fangirl before even playing it). He just came home one day with it and... it became my favorite in the series. :3

Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology: Got this pretty much as soon as I got my (brother's) PSP. I had to walk about a mile to the local game store from my school to get it though. In flip-flops. My feet were bleeding when I got back to school. Worth it, though. I loved that game. (Haven't touched it since I got RM2, though...) *looks at the game sitting on my computer table on top of my DS right next to me and tries to resist playing it*

Tales of Phantasia (GBA): Technically, I don't actually own this one. I just have a computer version thingy (forgot the word for it) of this. Quite fun for those little "I'm bored and I don't wanna do RM2" moments.

Tales of Legendia: I couldn't resist getting this one. Too bad it wasn't multiplayer, though. Still haven't finished it. (Might not, either, though...)

Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2: This one came out on my birthday. I was MEANT to get that game. And I did. I love it so much. Second favorite after Abyss. I also love how it's portable and has so many of my favorite characters~~~ <3

Tales of Vesperia (360): Got this very recently, pretty much as a birthday present THIS year (RM2 was last year). I'm stuck and can't beat Gattsuo, though. And my idiot brother doesn't wanna help... >_>

Want to get: ToD: DC, ToD2, ToVS, maybe one of the DS Tales...

Own:
Tales of Symphonia GCN: The first Tales game I actually played, and the first one I was able to beat on my own. I lost track of how many times I've beaten it since then, but it was the one that really got me into the series.

Tales of the Abyss: ADORE this one, and am currently going through a playthrough with friends. I had thought that Symphonia had gotten gameplay exactly the way I wanted it until I played this one. 'Tis divine to me. Plus it has Asch. I was so angry with myself when the localization was announced as late as it was, since I had already spoiled myself on the big stuff.

Tales of Phantasia GBA: I really liked this one for a GBA game despite the awful voice acting, and I lost sleep so much playing it. It keeps a special place on my nightstand so I can play it at any time.

Radiant Mythology: Got this one when I stumbled across it at Wal-Mart. It was okay, nothing spectacular, but it left me feeling like I was duped somehow. Despite that I'm playing it again, if only for Leon and Chester.

Played through other means:
Tales of Destiny PS1: I didn't actually finish it, but I really liked what I did get out of it, considering I couldn't understand half of what was going on.

Tales of Legendia: Let me just say: blegh... Glad I didn't actually buy it, though it did have some perks... Shirley sure as hell didn't help. I didn't get very far with it.

ToS: DotNW: This one was even more blegh than Legendia. I knew that I should lower my expectations drastically, and I did, but it was still too horrible for me... Emil and Marta as the only party members you keep with personalities didn't help at all.

Want to get/play:
Tales of Destiny 2: This one holds a special place for me as the first Tales game I ever heard about, though I forgot about it soon after until I was done with Symphonia and saw that there were more. I really want to play it still.

Tales of Destiny DC: It's frickin' DC. I want to play it so bad you don't even want to know. I'm really considering buying it since I have money for the time being.

Tales of Hearts: I've heard great things about this one, and it would be nice to have another game to add to my handheld collection.

TotW: Radiant Mythology 2: RM1 still isn't satisfying me like I hoped it would, and this one includes a whole platoon of my more favorite characters. Needless to say, I am very upset that a localization never came around. =(

Tales of Graces: I don't think I really need to explain myself for this one, and since my localization senses are strong, I'll hold off until summer to import it.

Oh wow, I totally forgot about Eternia... *facepalms* Sorry, Aelph! (Actually, I have the paper guide to ToE in English, too)

Also, all of the above games (except RM2, of course) are the English versions. And, though it's kinda obvious now, ToS is the GCN version.

Wow. Are there any of them that are worth playing?

Oh, and btw, I finally beat Rebirth. Freaking amazing.

It's... okay. Granted, I went in expecting something I would probably hate, so it wasn't hard to for it to beat my expectations, and I did pick it up for 25 dollars, and I got about 25 hours worth of enjoyment out of it, so it wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

I can say that I do like it more than Abyss, though that's not hard to top, for me. I mean, I liked going back and seeing how the world had changed and everything, I won't lie. That was definately a nice nostalgic treat. I also liked seeing the characters again, even if they are a bit dull compared to the original game, but this is easily fixed by watching lots of skits, since that's where their characters really seem to flesh out. I also really liked Marta. Emil and Richter? Not so much, but Marta was great. Decus and Alice are also cool characters.

I just didn't like how sometimes the plot seemed to just pull things out of nowhere. Granted, I don't care about the original's plot nearly enough to get up in arms about any sort of inconsistencies or anything. But the plot is honestly not that bad, I thought. I was expecting a lot worse.

Another problem I had was that in battles, your characters can stunned WAY too easily. It gets a bit ridiculous. At times, I would stop trying to get in to a group of enemies to do cool aerial stunts, because I knew when I'd fall down, I'd get hit from all sides and then stunned. If you get stunned in a group of enemies, chances are you'll die, since enemies can really dish out the damage.

In addition to that, bosses (and later enemies) that belong to the Vanguard, a new organization in the game, have the ability to make it so that they are unable to be stunned for a set amount of time. This can get, really, really annoying considering these bosses can do stupid amounts of damage, so running in and trying to hit them isn't gonna work very well, considering then can just turn around and beat the hell out of you. I don't know if there's any way around this, because I didn't find one, but it's pretty annoying. Especially considering the final boss has this ability, as well as the fact that he can regen. But I'm apparently one of the few who found the final boss to be a pain, so it could be that I just sucked at this game, but, ah well.

Another minor annoyance is Lloyd's voice. >_> But yeah, otherwise, it's a decent game, and if you can pick it up for as much as I did, I'd say it wasn't a waste. Just don't expect anything more than your getting, a spin-off that's mainly just trying to cater to anyone who liked the original game enough, and you should be fine.

Tales of The Abyss

Tales of Hearts

Owned

Symphonia (GCN)

First game I played. I loved it when I got it and I still do. Lloyd still remains one of my favorite characters.

When I first heard Kratos I immediately yelled out "LIQUID!"

Legendia (PS2)

Underrated game IMO. Love the story and soundtrack.

Phantasia (GBA)

I really had to force myself to play. Cress being your only physical attacker for seemingly the majority of the game made this hard.

Vesperia (360)

Probably my favorite Tales game. Fun combat and a decent story. Also, I got "Vesperia Master".

Abyss (PS2)

I really enjoyed Abyss. Though the damn part where you were forced to only have Jade and Anise in your party annoys me.

Other Means

Dawn of the New World (Wii)

Probably my least favorite game over all. It had a lot of interesting ideas that just... fell flat.

Destiny (PSX)

An okay game. Definitely one of the lower tiered games IMO.

Destiny 2 (PSP)

I'm still playing it, and boy is it fun.

Radiant Mythology (PSP)

It was fun seeing the various characters interact with each other.

Radiant Mythology 2 (PSP)

Much, much better than the first gameplay wise.

VS. (PSP)

I enjoy this game, to be honest. Lots of fun.

Order of acquisition:

Symphonia
Phantasia
Legendia
Abyss
Radiant Mythology
Eternia
Vesperia

Man, when I make a list, my Tales collection seems so small.

My collection is pretty tiny, really.

Symphonia
Abyss
Radiant Mythology
Dawn of the New World
Rebirth PSP

I've been looking for Legendia for the past several months, but I can't find a copy in my area, which really sucks considering Legendia is probably my favourite out of the few I've played. I've played Phantasia GBA too, back when it first came out, but...yeah, I wouldn't actually waste my money on it.
