I finished my latest artwork.

I think it's better to open a thread for all of my ToS fanarts to edit the new ones into, then to open a new thread every time I'm done with a pic...

And here I go with a little more Yuan/Botta. *.* I never found an artwork with them kissing - so I did one. x3

Scene takes place after Tower of Salvation and Lloyd's group's escape by the stolen Rheairds. Lloyd kicking (if I remember right ...) Yuan's fresh wound from Kratos knocked poor Yuan out. When Botta, who's been busy with all the organisational matters after the incident, was finally able to see his superior, he was so relieved that Yuan was alright... that he could not hide his feelings anymore. *_*

I admit that most of the walls' tiny tiny details were replaced by me with a littel less tiny details. ^^" Yuan's room seems sooo kitschy to me. xD Trying to draw every single scrollwork and stuff would have ended in a nasty little mess on the paper, I'm sure... <.< 'though I tried to keep to the bigger details as much as possible, such as the walls' structure and the carpet and stuff.

Did a little update with this Yuan/Chibi!Botta thingie. xP

That picture's background took my quite a long time compared to the rest, since I did it with coloured pencils... ^^ Characters are with Copic.

In fact there is only one reason I wanted to draw something like that: Look at Botta's tiny chibi elfish ears... *squeals* I just LONGED for a chance to attach ears like that to a character and hey, aren't half-elfish children MADE for having such ears? *.*
I just liked the motive. I don't think they knew each other when Botta was a child, but hey, who cares? I got to draw a child and I got to give chibi ears to him, I'm satisfied, I wanted nothing else. xD

I gave Triet Base a training yard, because... I liked it. It fit. xP

Now someone please tell me the trick to draw Kratos' STUPID hair - I just don't manage. @.@

Uuuuugh~, I did it. o.o
The latest artwork turned out A LOT bloodier than I ever intended it to be. But then again I did not really know how it would turn out from the beginning, since I only had a faint idea and a sketch. xD

I usually do not upload linearts only, even as I always scan them anyway. Only this time I decided that already the outlines of the picture took me so much work and time and turned out so satisfyingly well, that they are worth to be uploaded seperately.
Please forgive me the bright copyright, but I only sign finished artworks and I would not post this one without any mentioning of my name. Also outlines are so freaking easy to steal... T.T It's just like "Once bitten, twice shy.", I just remember too clearly someone "forgetting" to credit when uploading MY freaking work. Sorry.

The idea is that the Renegades do NOT have a nice cup of coffee with their potential enemies and try to discuss things diplomatically (at least not before DotNW - scnr xDDD), but do kill when they regard it as necessary. And - let's face it - the victims are women and children too. (C'mon, Botta is introduced into the game when he just killed a freaking lot of innocent priests, then threatens a GRANNY - a GRANNY, an old, wrinkly woman HALF as tall as he is o.o - and then commands his pals to slaughter a bunch of pupils that just came along the way, one of them 12 years old.) And even as they act all cold and all "The end justifies the means.", I figured that there ARE moments when it feels bad to turn against those who cannot defend themselves.
So here we go with Yuan and Botta just after wiping out the whole group of some Chosen of the past.

Finished the colouration.
Heeell, this took long.

I actually do love the way the blood turned out. It was quite a mess to do it, I had three red Copics at the same time (Lipstick Orange, Crimson and Cardinal) and used a wet-in-wet technique. In the end not only the paper was soaked in colour, but my fingers were red and sticky, too. Just as the Copics themselves, the desk and later the towels in the bathroom. Never had anything that nasty in all those years of drawing... x.x But I think the result was totally worth the effort.

Special thanks to my boyfriend. xD He sat down with me and watched the battle against Yuan and Botta on Youtube to get a better idea of Yuan's fighting style for giving me tips for placing the blood on his blade. That was so cute... <3

My... I think next time I'll do something more fluffy - at least I want to. xD If someone has a nice Yaoi-ish idea for a Yuan/Botta picture for me to draw, feel free to tell me. xP

And a random note at the end: They. Are. Wearing. Matching. Clothes. How gay is this? XD Ah, and now don't come up with how this makes perfectly sense, 'cause they're both leading the same organisation, I won't accept this. XD XD XD (Just kidding. ^^)

Oh, and all my ToS pictures and a few Furries too can be found on my Deviant in a bigger size. Photobucket makes them all small... -_-"

@Update: Some new Yuan/Botta today. Attention: It's Yaoi kissing stuff - Botta's shirtless and Yuan's getting naughty. It's only kissing anyway, but if you do not like Yaoi, the pairing, Botta, me, whatever else - then don't look at it. It cannot be so hard. It's childish to post comments only containing your rambling on how you don't like the pairing or whatever. I do not look at Regal/Genis either. xD

I'm glad how Yuan's wings turned out, the took me quite some time to sketch and stuff. My favourite part of the whole picture is probably Botta's upper body and Yuan's facial expression.

Alternative titles are: "Don't mess with an angel" and "Guess who's getting screwed tonight". XD Okay, I'm in a funny mood right now, so nevermind. xD

An update.

You know, I feel like I had a hell of a long to-do list for my fanarts and THIS one was actually not on it until I drew it.

The idea came out of the blue. I was on the train, had not really slept for... 40 hours (Okay, I had 3 hours of sleep curled up on two train seats...) and I was just MAJORLY pissed, because I'd just visited a university for an application test and showed them a lot of my pictures (it was some design bachelor course - DESIGN, not art or anything!) and the prof really went on about how manga is all copying each other and it was almost impossible to have an own style and that I lack a style at all and stuff. He said I better draw "my breakfast as I view it" and make my very personality visible by looking on my pictures. Uh... guys, my personality is MY bloody business and I draw what I want - and if you do not want such a "narrow style" as manga that is all "copying each other", then f*cking say so on your website or something. I thought the application was about mere ability to use material, colours and stuff - not to show them my personality by drawing my stupid coffee mug. >.< ... Okay, that's enough. xD I better calm down.

So when I was at this train home and it was somewhat around night again, I suddenly felt the urge to draw - if only to show myself I was not entirely useless. I did a few sketches and then decided to draw Botta - using this image as a reference from my iPod (xD). But not all "Grrr, I'm going to break your arm, if you say something wrong to my Yuan. >.<", but actually smiling. I then decided to colour with coloured pencils only and hey... I like how the picture turned out.

Rakkaus is Finnish for "Love". I thought only a person in love can smile this way - and the picture itself also bears lots of my personal love for Botta as a character.

Heh, not too usual for me to post so fast again. Anyway, it's "only" sketches this time. x3
I did some of them (the ones without paper surrounding them) a few months ago and the others (the ones on brown paper) just the day before yesterday. Both times at work, when there was ZERO to do. x.x

Hehe, and because I'm lazy one (and pretty tired by now), I'll copy the description from the DA version of it:

Well, since I'm some Tales of Symphonia fangirl (xD) and doing fanfiction and -art and stuff, I pondered a lot about my favourite characters' past. I came up with a background story for Botta, the Renegade's Second-in-Command for those who dunno anymore (or did not yet xD) and when and how he joined the Renegades, how he was involved with Cruxis before and stuff... I ended up doing a few sketches of him in his youth - in MY version of his youth xD - and the ones I liked most were collected and finally put together in this little... sketching thingie.

Brief explanation, western reading direction (left to right, up to down):

1st is Botta, when he just joined the Renegades, age 15. After a short and rather horrible time being forced to work with the Desians, he appears quite depressed. Hair is short, because the Desians do have some rules about appearance after all... (The Renegades apparently have NOT. xDDD)

2nd is my personal favourite. xD Since Botta's crushing on Yuan, his boss, right from the first time they meet in MY (so NOT the canon version, before anyone starts nagging me about it... it's just my fan-ish idea) version of his story, he gets rather flustered with that guy around. xD I love his expression, it turned out just as I wanted it to do. ^^ Hihihi.

3rd is totally random, I just kept drawing and that was the outcome. Botta getting mad - and swearing like hell - at a fellow recruit or something asking about... his sexual preferences. Again: My fan-ish version. Non-canon, nuhu... No worrying, if you don't like yaoi. x3 The sketch is more like some joke anyway. ^^"

4th is little Botta, age 13, when his family just got killed in a Desian invasion in his home village (Hima for me) and the Desians - short of men anyway - just decide that a young, promising half-elf boy should either come along with them, or die aswell.

5th is... just some posing. Botta smiling, around age... 18-20 I'd guess.

6th is about the same age (like 2nd and 3rd too) and just some more serious reference version for me.

Yeah, it's going fast these days. I finally managed to colour the outlines I already did when the Symphonia antagonists hurt & heal in the forum games' section ended with the players stopping when only Yuan and Botta were left, because it was no fun hurting Botta anymore. ^^" (*hands botta an icebag* Well, Botta fared pretty worse than Yuan, so he looks a bit more *ouch*-ish.
I actually had a lot of fun with that picture. xD
