|

I am completing the Monster Book. I think that I have all entries except for the Leave entry of the Ishrantu.
I do not have a leave item for the Wolf Heddin but I have no way of getting that as the Wolf Heddin cannot be spell bound. I am comparing my entries to the drops. leaves and steal listed by

I think that I have everything except for the item obtained by spell binding an Ishrantu and choosing not to forge a pact.
Has anyone located an Ishrantu outside of an event encounter? |

| You find an Ishrantu in Gladsheim fight the Fire Drake (on screen) monsters and you'll eventually get it, it leaves a life bottle fyi. Also, I found a Wolf Heddin in a Katz Mission I think it was either Volcano Cave or the Temple of Ice unevent battles and it leaves a Syrup Bottle. |

1. When the Fire Drake appears as the monster on a corner Pillar Seal, there may be an Ishrantu in the encounter group?
Sounds like a plan. Much GRATITUDE.
The encounters from Fire Drakes that are guarding warp portals do not lead to an Ishrantu. I know this because I have made pacts with 7 Jormungandrs. When you figure in how many failed attempts you get when trying to forge pacts in Unknown mode, that is a lot of encounters. The level on your recruiting monster compared to the level of the monster who is target of the pact is a factor in how many stars you get. A King Leech only goes to level 100 and the King Leech is - I think - the best monster for recruiting a Jormungandr. After trying to forge pacts in Unknown Mode I realized that I should change my settings to normal when trying to make pacts.
2. The Wolf Heddin is a rare encounter in the Fenrir groups that appear on A-rank Katz Quests. I have gotten this encounter after reading the FAQ that I give a link to.

How in the dickens does anyone spell bind a Wolf Heddin? I have tried and many others have tried. Please tell me the secret. I know where to find one. |

| Any Fire Drake group in Gladsheim should have it but I think the percentages are higher when you are on the higher floors and I found it was quite easy to spell bind Wolf Heddins, though I do keep a monster with the synchronize skill Gaze of Temptation, I have almost all of the data for the monster book so if you need help I can. |

Yes. I need help with this. Please be patient with me.
I thought that spell binding was guaranteed when the major grid element and 4 of the minor elements are the same.
You know, I am talking about the text spell bind appearing during the battle and not the pact making.
Please explain what Gaze of Temptation has to do with spell binding. I always thought that Gaze of Temptation improved the chance of a pact being successful. |

Well, I've found that it isn't guaranteed because you'd have to eliminate all other monsters with a neutral elemental grid then when the monster you want is all that is left fill the grid with the same element cause, I've got numerous Spell Binds in the same battle but I don't what determines which one appears on the capture screen because sometimes it is the last one and other times it isn't. |

I have tried encounters with the Bakunawa, Lamia, ect.; warp portal monsters on the 9th and 10th floor. The encounter frequency stays the same. But I have an idea.
** Ginnungagap ** SPOILER ** **
You may not know that in The Ginnungagap there is a special Light Seal encounter and a special Dark Seal encounter. You must not burn any of the roots and you must refresh the room before you start. You defeat (fighting is not enough) the two monsters belonging to a root and burn that root. Repeat for each root. Stand in the center of the elevator platform and press A. Light = Habetrot, Padfoot, Peallaidh, Bakunawa. Dark = Night Stalker, Echidna, Dark Steel and Hippogryph. Spell binding is possible in this encounter.
** end spoiler **
So my idea is that there is something similar in Gladsheim. You clear all of the seals on a floor in some special order and you get an encounter. |
