besides I always showed my WIPs to seraph even when they were terrible. I made this one Eureka Seven tag that just never really went anywhere, and I tried redoing it twice. It was frustrating since I really liked the render too but I was just terrible at making anything with it.

The brush is meh, cause it's in a dark spot..
The text looks good cause it's lighter on that side, and i like the colors overall.
Looks like it kinda needs something more..unno what
Bakemonogatari FTW, Can wait for the other 2 episodes...if they can ever get enough staff to work on them..

It's not a brush though, it's a cracked glass texture... I wanted to go for an old and broken TV look.

I actually really like it.
Although I can see what you were going for with the glass texture, I don't think it works very well.

I really like my current set atm (especially the avatar) which makes me wonder---since all I did was adjust colors, crop and shrink it. This leads me to a question:
When working on avatars and signatures do any of you always try to do something artsy and spectacular with it, or do you just try to make the picture work for what it is? (aka sometimes only using simple fixes like color adjustment and perhaps even brushes). |

I do that a hell of a lot. In fact the tags I've made of late are mostly to stop me getting rusty rather than actually having something fancy to put in my sig

Honestly, cropping/adjusting pics is a good portion of what I've made. It makes up for the times you're in a total artblock. I should really start making flashy sigs again in order not to get so rusty, but I'm not really all that active anymore so making sigs is kind of pointless.
