Yup just like a school outfit and a gun made someone a user back when 3 was all the rage. 
That aside why is there a new pilot all of a sudden? She taking Touji's place or is there now going to be six pilots?

They're pretty much completely changing the plot for the second half of the series so there's a totally new Unit 5, instead of 5 being through 13 auto-piloted Mass Production models.

A spin-off manga I believe, wasn't this the one that had the angels in human form? I remember long ago seeing figures of humanized angels.

tl;dr: Shinji transfers to NERV highschool, angels are killin' people, and Shinji is recruited into the school's angel killin' squad. Evas are a persons will physically manifested as a weapon. So Shinji is fighting demonic monsters in a school uniform with a spiritually powered gun. But he's shooting them and not himself. |
