I noticed that in one of Presea's first skits, she talks about a Judas mask and what it does. Is this a reference to Judas in Tales of Destiny 2? I was thinking that it might have been, considering Judas wears a head piece.

I haven't played Destiny 2, but based on what I know about it I'd say yes.

Yes, it's a reference to Judas.

In the same skit, the bellytop she mentions that keeps the wearer warm and protects against enemy attacks (the Loni-Kyle) is a reference to the shirt Loni wears in Destiny 2.

Yes, I agree. It was so disappointing ToS2 didn't have any of those. I loved the cameo battle in ToA.

How was it butchered? It was spelled exactly as you spelled it just now. Or is it said differently?

I think the Japanese pronounciation is somewhere along the lines of "Low-knee" (rhyming with macaroni), is it not? Which would sound horrible in English. It was changed for the better.

Well, a lot of names change through translation. Usually they're non-Japanese names given Japanese pronunciation that doesn't exist in the English (especially with vowels). I mean, Lloyd's name is still considered Lloyd even though they say it as Roido.

For instance, while his name is written as Jade, phonetically the a sound is actually closer to a Japanese e. In Japanese the o in Loni would probably make an oh sound while in English the following n would likely make it a short o. While it's not exactly a proper English name, it could be that, like Lloyd, "Loni" is the intended name but instead of changing the spelling to match the pronunciation, they just adapted the vowels to Japanese.
