I can just see it now... the final boss will be:
THE FLOWER QUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN |
No, the final boss will actually be Flora.
Then we find out SoPhie is actually Kunzite's little sister. *shot* _________________

According to famitsu:
Asbel has 2 attack buttons: A button for swift attacks, B for strong attacks
Sophie has 2 attack buttons: A button for marcial arts, B for healing spells.
Is this new? It's certainly to me, I was expecting a button to use skills, since there's no regular attack button, and another to change styles/stances and you could alternate between combos, but not 2 separate attack buttons, each with a different stance.
I'm not quite sure how I feel about this, but I guess there's not much room for failure. _________________

Maybe I just made assumptions earlier, but I thought they announced all this a long time ago. I feel like none of the "news" that's been published lately has been anything new aside from the things that pertain specifically to Sophie. _________________

Hideo Baba kinda mentioned the new system of using artes/magic in a short interview a while back, but never went into a lot of detail.
And I agree that they're being odd when it comes to giving out info on this. It took them weeks just to reveal the heroine when that's usually one of the first things we know, and when they "unveil" the battle system they usually go into a lot more detail than what they did in this issue. It feels like there's hardly any detail about the game's world/setting, and worthwhile interviews are also scarce.
It's hard to imagine this releasing this year when it's taking them so long just to tell us what's usually the first things we learn about a Tales game. |

Yeah so I'm somewhat excited for this. The battle system sounds kind of weird though, but I'm sure it'll be fine _________________

Game producer Hideo Baba calls it the "Style Shift" system, and he sees it as pretty revolutionary: "We wanted to construct something intuitive, exciting, and easy enough for anyone to taste for themselves. RPG gameplay involves fighting lots of battles, so it's always important that battles stay enjoyable after repeated play. Pursuing the characters' unique traits via the battle system is one way to fully explore the depth behind each one in a non-story manner."

I'm really excited about this battle system.
Hurry up, PV!!! |

Such cynical words from everyone. Come on. Maybe the storywriters tought of something special this time. :P
I'm going to love this game, especially the battle system. :D What Hideo Baba said in the article sounds really cool. Yeah, I know it's way too early to say it, but I still have a very good feeling for this game.
I'm happy aslong as the game is fun and enjoyable.
Wish the new trailer would show itself already. _________________

it's shishisenku (oo sound is a u in roma(n)ji).
if this is the spear weilder I suspect they're more likely to get either leodasium or moses's knockdown attack.
moses's isn't the same but leodasium just uses a different motion to generate the beast head. _________________ This signature is more trouble than it's worth!

A double o in Japanese is pronounced like a long o, not a u, so no. (The name of the attack is Shishisenkou, by the way...) _________________

what I was saying is that where oo is used in english, u is used in roma(n)ji.
if it's shishisenkou that explains why shishisenku looked wrong but what about senku rippa, surely there should be consistancy in how senk(o)u is spelt? _________________ This signature is more trouble than it's worth! |

It depends on what transcription system you use.
It's either shishisenkou or shishisenkô in Hepburn.
The Japanese department I study in, would use sisisenkoo, which would be perfectly right, as well. And I myself use a mixture of both. ^^
The other attack you mean, would be senkoo reppa (or senkou reppa or senkou reppa, depending on the transcription system), though the koo is spelt with a different Japanese Kanji.
