Namco could've just made Richard a princess, but they thought that was too cliched, even for Tales standards. But that's alright, that just makes him all the more endearing. His love for Asbel that is inspiring and emotion invoking...!

I love how you couldn't get a clear in-game version, so you drew your own :'D
Also, this might turn into a sub Richard x Asbel thread because Richard loves Asbel so much...
continuing from this thread... (Richard fans should read btw)
I like how this plays for a major Richard rescue scene and battle. It's so fitting and it gets me really involved, like, "OUT OF THE WAY! We have to save endearing PrincessRichard!

I love this picture. It says,

In game in childhood, Richard was nicknamed 'Tiger festival-aniki'.

Little Asbel was like a typical hyper little boy. And he's' always shouting out things, being bossy, and being the nutty kind of fun. His closest friends winds up being the calm and collected Sophie and Richard (though Richard is more so shy/modest) who are often 'huh' at him but try things with him anyway.
Asbel is like RICHARD IS OLDER SO HE'S THE OLDER BRO. Richard aniki
and then Sophie goes "Tiger festival-aniki" because Asbel tried to give her that name prior. And thus Richard gets it.
Warp to the future where many players of ToG believe Richard is deeply in love and attracted to Asbel. And get this joke picture when he's being flirty. (Tiger can be a sexual pet name or meaning depending on how its used, and combined with 'festival', well...lol)
Hubert's face in this picture is also amazing. It's like "...What."
