When does Estelle learn a better healing spell then First Aid? >_> I keep dying on Bosses because she cant heal. Or maybe i suck, or are under leveled.

| I'm not sure of the exact level, but my Estelle just recently learned Nurse... so perhaps around 21-24 or so. |

Okay cool, am i underleveled? Also im very annoyed with Rita + Estelle's AI, i have their strategy set to keep distance and not to get close if health is under 75% But no matter what they seem to run up right beside the boss and cast, its annoying with Estelle because i have her set to heal, and ill be dying and shes up attacking the boss with random artes. >_>

That doesn't quite take care of it. Even if you do that, she'll still run up and attack, she just won't use Artes.

| Wow I guess healer AI has gone down the crapper then...you might also try setting her to use artes only through the strategy menu and only keep her healing artes on, that used to work with Tear from Abyss, though I can't claim to know if it'll help now. |

Estelle is actually really intelligent for me. I haven't touched her default strategy, and she'll always run away when an enemy comes after her. She even cancels a spell to block if she has too.

Well, she seems to do that when its random battles, but when its a boss shes running up right beside it and healing. >_>

It's partially due to her AI...
Estelle's got a lot of skills from melee and magical. So she's quite capable of putting up a strong melee offensive. Course, she's also a major healer. So occassionally when her AI deems the characters A-OK, she is asked to do something else, such as attack or cast spells.
It's kind of the same issue that Rita has. If you tell her to stop casting spells when she has 25% TP and her AI is set to Artes or Magic Artes only, she'll stop doing anything and simply sit there. Which is kind of annoying.
As Estelle's spell list grows, she gets more and more versatile and will try various things. The best thing to do if you want her to just heal, is to set her to Keep Distance, Magic Artes (or Heal) only. And shut off all her other attacks. Then tailor from there.
Personally, I don't really do that, as she's quite strong with her combos. My only issue is she has trouble keeping the enemy staggered long enough to shoot off Pierce Cluster or Delight Roll. Plus her Star Stroke is rather slow. |
