Basically, equip particular skills (things like Hell Fire and Athenor) and when you perform an arte that reacts to those skills, the arte changes into a new form. Once you've used the altered arte 100 times, you'll learn it permanently. _________________

| Also worth a note, spell related skill changes only require 50 castings, most likely due to the long casting times some upper-level spells may need. |

However out of all the skill change moves Revive/Regenerate IMHO are the hardest to permanently learn.
After all the Ressurection spell which is used to learn Revive/Regenerate can only be used on dead party members despite that Revive is casted while party members aren't dead but revives them upon KO. |

...no Vegh, countless gameplay videos including the spell exhibition and the demo's skill change exhibition have shown both spells cast on a living target... _________________

| I wasn't sure since normally ressurrection without doing its skill change never works on party members that aren't dead. |

If you aren't sure, then please don't state your supposition as fact. _________________

Btw when attempting to make a skill change move permanent will the moves trigger 100 % of the time.
As in if you have Chain learned and equipped then Yuri triggers Azure Edge would its skill change happen 100% of the time as long as Chain is still equipped when trying to make the skill change permanent. Or would the skill change still trigger at random. |

It changes 100% of the time. If you want to use the original arte/spell it's based on, either unequip the Skill or spam it enough times so you learn it permanently. _________________ D: |

| Probably a stupid question, but does the arte it's based off o need a specific use requirement? like azure edge having 100 uses before being able to be skill changed? |

No, you just need to equip the Skill. Which you won't really get 'till quite a bit into the story. _________________ D: |

The only requirement is having the required skill for the skill change to occur and still using the skill 100 times.
However if you already had the skill at 100 uses but didn't learn Chain yet then once Chain is learned and equipped Azure Edge would still need another 100 uses for the skill change to be permanently usable.
However Yuri does learn a ougi that involves Azure Edge and that ougi still needs Azure Edge at 50 uses. |

How exactly do you know if an arte reacts to a certain skill? Is there any mention? Or is it a bit of trial and error?
And while we're at it, what's the basic skill chain order? Arte -> Arte change -> arcane art? _________________ [My youtube videos] |

At least the players guide does list the required skills for the skill changes to occur.
As for combos Base + Arcane only but you could still use a base + arcane skill change move for both artes/spells. |
