Alright. Here's the next chapter everyone.

Chapter 5-Revelation of the Inevitable

“Father, when will it be time for us to finally take over Natura.” complained Eliza. She sat on her respective throne, along with Ertha and King Rico. The advisor stood silently beside the king.

“They have caused us too much trouble in the past, especially when it comes to land. That’s why the border was moved more to our side.” said Ertha in an equally whiny tone as her twin.

“Girls, you shouldn’t bother your Father. I’m sure plans already for that, but he also has a lot on his mind. You remember what occurred just a few days ago, don’t you?” said the advisor.

“Yes, we do Athena.” they replied in unison. She looked at both of them and nodded.

“Thank you Athena, but it is alright,” said the king. “While I am here with both my daughters, I would like for you to take a platoon of soldiers out to the west towards the Athern border. Search for both of the criminals and bring them back dead-or-alive. We could have spared the other one and put him to death just as a threat to Lavalir’s society, but now he is aiding a criminal of the Kingdom of Lavalir and those charges will be put against him.”

“Yes, Your Majesty,” replied Athena. “We will begin preparations as soon as possible and head out.” She walked out of the audience chamber leaving the king and his daughters by themselves.

“Now, why do you two want a war so badly?” said the king.

“Because father, those scum who call themselves elves have stood in our way, and our ancestors way for far too long from become a great and powerful nation.” replied Eliza curtly.

“I am sorry, but I cannot fulfill your wishes,” said the king solemnly. “Until my nation is provoked in some sort of way, I cannot allow us to start a war with the elves.” He got up and walked towards the exit. “Be patient, my girls. I’m sure something good will happen and you two will finally stop thinking of starting a war.” He exited the audience room.

“I doubt that will happen.” retorted Ertha once he left.

“Well, there’s nothing we can do but wait.” said Eliza.

“You, the people of the choir. We, the Exalted Four have decided to commence operation ‘Restoration of Glory’,” said fairly young man. “All of you be on standby for any missions that may be assigned to you. From now on, the government will be in charge of everything that will be taken care of here. The Exalted Four will concentrate on the operation.” he walked down from the podium and walked with a group of three angels.

“Aww damn it. This means we have to go to the inferior races’ homes.” complained one of the angels.

“Don’t worry Cassiel. There will be lots of fighting involved so don’t look too down.” replied another angel.

“Hey, save the fighting for me. I’ve gone too long without fighting for my lust for elven blood.” said another.

“Come on now, all of you.” said another angel. “Cassiel and Israfil, both of you will stay here until I give the command. Gabriel, you will be the first one with a mission for plan “Restoration of Glory”. You must go and retrieve Orealon’s Star from the inferior continent.”

Gabriel scratched his head and gave a loud sigh. “It looks like I’m the first one who has to go to that wretched place.” He started walking off from the rest of them. “I’ll leave as soon as I can Deva.” he said.

“Please do,” he replied. “And take a portion of the first Choir with you as well. Have them do anything on your orders.”

Ridus, Scarlette, and her little sister Lauren were already on their way to Alsace. It was mid-afternoon. “Scarlette,” began Ridus. “Why are you and Lauren traveling so much?” he asked.

“We’re traveling in order to find our new home.” she said. Ridus was about to question why, but he remembered what she said the night before and left it alone.

“Scarlette, can you give me a piggy back pleaseeeee?” asked Lauren in a high-pitched voice.

“Sure.” she replied, opening her arms signaling for her to come on. Once she jumped on, Scarlette ran around while Lauren screamed in joy. Ridus had only she Scarlette happy with Lauren. That meant that she meant a lot to her. She would always play with her no matter what. She was a true big sister to her.

As he was thinking, Ridus saw in the distance someone lying on the ground. “Hey, look,” he said. “It looks like there’s a body on the ground.” He ran towards the body quickly and Scarlette followed suit with Lauren still on her back. He looked down at the person and his expression went from panic to disbelief. The person on the ground was sleeping.

“It’s just some kid sleeping.” he said, examining the strange boy. He was short and had frizzy blonde hair. His ears were pointed with two earrings on the left one. He wore a short black cloak with a long hood. “He’s probably and elf.” he said. Once he said that, the elf started to stir.

He looked up at Ridus first, then Scarlette, and then Lauren. He stared at Lauren for a long while before say something. “Who the hell are you people?” he asked, rubbing his eyes.

“We’re travelers.” said Ridus. “We just happened to stumble upon you on the way.”

“Hmmm. It seems I fell asleep again.” he said to himself. He yawned before talking again.

“How can you fall asleep so carelessly out in the open? What if someone or something attacked you?” said Scarlette.

“I don’t have to worry.” he said casually.

“Why not?”

The boy got up and stood on his feet. “Allow me to demonstrate.” he said. He dragged Ridus away from Lauren and Scarlette until they were a good distance away. “Now if you don’t mind, unsheathe your sword and point it towards me.” Ridus did as he said. A few seconds went by and nothing happened.

“Nothing happened. What the hell are you talking about lit-“ started Ridus but then he heard something coming. He looked to the sky to see a fireball hurdling towards him. He quickly jumped out of the way before it hit him. “What the hell is wrong with you?! You could have killed me you know!”

Demilion whistled and a yellow and orange bird came and stood beside him. “I never intended to.” he said smirking. “This is Relex, my pet phoenix.” he said rubbing his head. “Whenever something like this happens, Relex is there to protect me.” he boasted proudly. “But enough about me, where are you traveler going.

“To Alsace.” said Scarlette walking towards them with Lauren.

“Do you mind taking me with you just to there? I need to get there and then I can go by myself to the border.” he said.

“I do!” protested Ridus. “You just tried to kill me.!”

“Let’s just do it.” said Scarlette emotionlessly. “You know he never meant to.”

“Yeah, let him come with us Ridus! We let you come!” said Lauren.

“Fine.” said Ridus grumpily.

“Alright. By the way, my name is Demilion Trint.” he said. “I am the highest ranking sorcerer in all of Natura and the Elf Elder’s right hand man. Others tremble at my great use of elemental ether. So, are you guys impressed?” he said, but when he looked around, the three of them had already started walking off.

“What a cocky little kid,” said Ridus to Scarlette. “We should just leave him behind.”

Demilion raced up to catch up with them. “Where are you guys going? You can’t leave me.”

“Sure we can. Because you’re an immature little brat.” replied Ridus harshly.

“I really really wanna go though!! I’m a mature elf. See?” he said making a stupid face trying to look grown up.

Scarlette gave a loud sigh. “He won’t leave us alone unless we take him so let’s hurry up and drop him off.” she said.

“Yayyy- I mean, Thank you.” he said.

Time went by and it became evening. They still had about one more day to get there. “How long are we going to walk for?” complained Demilion. Scarlette glared at him.

“If you complain one more time I’m going to slice you up and make you into some fried elf meat!” threatened Scarlette.

“Come try it!” he yelled back in response. Both of them kept going back and forth until they heard a noise growing louder and louder from behind them. They looked back and were shocked. A group of five people including the leader came running towards them, the leader on a horse. They came to a stop once hey were with the group.

The leader was the lady they had almost fought in the forest. She wore different clothing then before, like she was ready for battle. “Ridus Lateran, Scarlette Atilion, you are both under arrest by the Knights of Orealon; Ridus for treason against the kingdom, and Scarlette for thievery from the kingdom. If you do not surrender, we will not hold back and face you with full force. As for the other two of you, the elf and the young girl, if you do not interfere, your lives will be spared; especially the elf if you would not like a war.”

Ridus stepped back, keeping his hand on his hilt. He leaned towards Demilion and whispered to him. “Hey, you know all that bragging about being able to use elemental ethers. Now would be a good time to show it off. You already know a war is unavoidable between both races.”

Demilion showed a little smirk. “Well, a war is already inevitable regardless what my actions are, so lets have some fun!” he yelled. He whipped out his hand from his pockets and a glyph appeared beneath him as he began to cast a spell. Ridus unsheathed his sword and held it loosely with one hand.

“Scarlette, help me out in the front lines. Tell Lauren to stay behind Demilion.” Scarlette unsheathed her wrist blades and ran towards them.

“Like hell I’m staying behind. I’m fighting too.” she yelled.

“Fine, but just stay back and cast the little magic that you know.” said Scarlette.

Lauren moved towards Demilion and immediately began casting a spell. “Fine, we’ll see what little magic I know.”

Ridus closed his eyes, remembering what had happened in the forest with him hesitating to fight his own kind. It was inevitable. He had to if he wanted to survive. It was either his life or theirs. “I’ve made my decision,” He said to himself. “I will take my sword, whether it be solemnly or proudly, and run it through my enemies!” Ridus held his hilt and slowly took out his sword. “Let’s go!” he said, opening his eyes with a determined look in his eyes.

Damn it, I really hate double posting but I just finished Chapter 6 so i might as well put it up. The epic fight scene is here everyone! Enjoy!

Chapter 6-Athena, The All Knowing Archer

Ridus charged towards the leader, Athena, with his sword dangling in his right hand. She still sat high on her horse, not making any attempt to join in on the fight. He was met by a soldier while charging towards the leader. The both traded blows until Demilion had finished casting his spell. “Flame Lance!” he yelled. A fiery lance appeared above the soldier Ridus was fighting, and ran right through him. A burst of fire came after it had contacted with him, and all that was left of him was ashes.

As soon as another soldier came to try and attack Ridus, Lauren had finished casting her spell. “Oh twisted door of distortion open wide into a burning fury, Crimson Riot!” A big ball of fire surround the soldier a burned him until nothing was left.

“You guys aren’t going to leave any of them for me!” yelled Ridus, mad because he wasn’t being able to fight any of them.

“You snooze you lose.” said Demilion, shrugging and beginning to cast another spell.

“Hehe, just trying to help out Ridus!” said Lauren, grinning widely. She also began casting another spell.

Ridus turned around, only to be confronted again by another soldier. As the soldier caught him off guard and tried slashing him, Scarlette was there to block the attack and quickly counter attack with multiple slashes. “Don’t get distracted,” she said to Ridus with serious eyes. “I told you once already not to be a burden in battle.” She then ran off to meet one of the last two soldiers. Ridus grunted and also ran to meet the other soldier.

He took his sword with both hands and slammed hard towards the soldier as he blocked, knocking him off balance. As he knocked him off, he kicked him swiftly in the stomach, knocking him back towards where Athena, the leader was. She had still not moved from on top of the horse.

Ridus followed-up the kick by running towards the downed soldier. He took his sword and stabbed it in the soldier’s leg. He roared in pain and Ridus removed the sword from his leg. Blood began pouring out of the man’s leg slowly. Ridus whipped his sword to his side, throwing off the blood from the tip. He then sheathed his sword and stepped back away from the soldier. He looked to his side and saw that Scarlette had also finished off her opponent.

Demilion and Lauren both stopped casting their spells. All eyes were now on the leader, Athena. She slowly moved off her horse, the first movement she had made since the battle had begun. She had long light blue hair which went down to her mid back, and bangs that covered a bit of her left eye. She had emerald green eyes and wore glasses. She had a white jacket on which had 2 rows of buttons down the middle and a light blue outline. She then wore a fancy black and blue skirt. She then wore gray leggings and a pair of fancy black gloves and shoes. She had two quivers filled with arrows; one on her back and another at her side as if it were a sheath for a sword.

The soldier that Ridus had defeated began to stir again. He tried standing up on one leg, still showing pain in his face from Ridus’ attack. “Raphael,” started Athena. “You are the only one left alive from the rest of the platoon.” she said with no sympathy in her voice. Take this horse back to the kingdom and report what happened here.

“But Lady Athena, you are going to stay here?” he asked. He hopped over towards her.

“Yes. Send a letter to me in Alsace to what the king’s response is. Stop at Cuire and get some first aid before going back to the kingdom.” she said. The man wanted to argue, but he knew her will was absolute. He got on the horse and rode off in the direction to the kingdom.

She took her eyes off the horse in the distance and directed them to Scarlette and Ridus. “Now, it seems you have made it clear that you will not surrender,” she said, releasing the bow from her back. “So it seems now that I will have to see to all your deaths.” She strung an arrow and pointed it towards Scarlette. Scarlette drew he blade back out and was ready to charge towards her, when Ridus suddenly charged first, drawing his sword.

“Your mine!” he yelled. She shot the arrow at him, but he deflected it easily. He took his sword and swung down towards her, but she easily held the blow off with her metal bow. He took it off and sent a flurry of slashes towards her, but they were all blocked easily. She then put force in her block which sent him flying tumbling backwards. He got up shakily and stared her right in the eyes. “I’m not done yet.” he said, with the same determined eyes as he had in the beginning of the battle. He dug his sword deep in the ground, still holding the hilt of it. Ether began to gather around the sword. He then waved his sword towards Athena. “Demon Fang!” he yelled. The wave of energy tore the ground up as it went towards her.

He was anticipating it to hit her, when he heard her yelled, “Piercing Line!” and an arrow shot through the energy, not only dispelling it, but it was so fast, it went and dug itself in Ridus’ left leg. He knelt on the floor in pain. Demilion and Lauren immediately started casting spells, but Athena quickly grabbed two arrows from her side quiver, strung them, and shot them. As they headed toward them, Demilion stopped casting and pulled out a small black dagger from under his cloak and deflected the one coming towards him, and whipped a second in front of Lauren to redirect the other one. He went to pick up his dagger in front of her. “T-Thank you.” she stuttered.

“No problem.” said Demilion, smiling widely at her. “I think its best we stay out of this one or else Scarlette and Ridus will be too busy trying to protect us.”

“Well, you mean me.” she said jokingly, laughing.

Scarlette watched as Ridus knelt on the ground in pain. “Tch.” she said in disgust. Athena strung another arrow and aimed for Ridus’ head, but Scarlette was there to block it. “Attack an opponent when they’re down, so dishonourable.” she said to the woman.

“Me, dishonourable? What’s dishonourable is the fact that a citizen of the Lavalir kingdom is helping a fugitive from the kingdom.”

“Whatever.” Scarlette ran towards her, having her wrist blades ready for action. She attacked her with a barrage of kicks and stabs, but they were all blocked. Even so, Scarlette didn’t give her a chance to counter. “What a matter, can’t find any openings?” she teased her, still attacking her without a break.

Athena let her guard down at the comment and was sent back by one of her kicks, but as she flew back, she strung an arrow and released it as she fell, embedding it in Scarlette’s shoulder. Athena got up easily smiling. “No, just looking for the right one.” she walked up to Scarlette, who stumbled back while pulling the arrow out of her shoulder. She whipped the red tipped arrow across the field and held her shoulder with her opposite hand. Athena walked right up to Scarlette so that they were face to face. “Those golden eyes, they remind me of something,” she said. “Something I read in a book once about celestial beings called angels.” she said smirking as Scarlette’s eyes widened in terror to those words.

“How the…what the hell?!?” said Scarlette confused. “How did you know?!” she said from confusion to anger. She swung one blade down towards her, but she effortlessly sidestepped it and kicked her to the ground.

“How I know is none of your concern,” she said, back to her serious demeanor. “But whatever you and the rest of them are planning to do, I will stop it, starting with the annihilation of you.” She aimed her arrow at Scarlette’s head.

“Damn it! No!!” yelled Lauren. Demilion and Lauren tried casting a spell, but they didn’t cast it in time.

A moment before the arrow was released; a shockwave was sent threw the ground, throwing Athena off balance. The arrow grazed past Scarlette’s cheek, leaving a thin red mark across her cheek. She looked behind Scarlette and saw Ridus. Scarlette looked back and also saw Ridus.

Ridus took the arrow out of his leg and cracked it in half. His hand was on his sword which was stabbed in the ground. Ether surrounded Ridus again, but this time in a more destructive and uncontrolled aura. “Ridus…?” said Scarlette quietly to herself. Even when she had fought him in the forest, his ether was like that. Ridus looked up and looked at Athena with dangerous eyes. Scarlette saw that his eye colour has changed from blue to gold.

“Move, Scarlette.” he said emotionless with his eyes still fixed on Athena. Scarlette quickly scrambled away behind Ridus and back to where Lauren and Demilion were.

“Are you okay Scarlette?” asked Demilion sympathetically. Her breathing was heavy and she looked sort of pale.

“Damn it! The arrow she shot me with was filled with ether. It was dangerous even if it was one shot. I shouldn’t have held back.” she said to herself. “Yeah, I’m fine.” she said to Demilion, obviously lying.

“No you’re not! You’re hurt. Let handle the fighting right now while I heal you.” said Lauren, concerned for her sister’s safety. Scarlette nodded her head and look back to the battlefield where Ridus stood with his aura of ether around him.

“So you are finally using the ether.” said Athena observantly. “Or maybe it’s just comes up when you’re in trouble.”

Ridus responded with a cold glare. He took his sword out of the ground. He walked slowly towards her and then broke into a run. He slashed at her, but it connected with her bow. He seemed to be overpowering her even though he was applying the same pressure as before. She caved under the pressure and stumbled back a bit, still on her feet, but Ridus gave her no time to recover and ran up to her and slashed her, the tip of his sword running through the left side of her top chest.

Although the wound was shallow, it still hurt for her to move her left arm, making it hard for her to move her bow. “I’m in a bit of a hole now.” she said to herself. She took four arrows out of her side quiver; one in-between each finger. She strung all four of them at the same time and released them in a quick succession. Ridus didn’t even flinch and just knocked each of the arrows down with ease.

Athena smiled. “I guess I have no choice. I should have know from the start that if he were using that ether that I would have to use mine too.” She mumbled quickly to herself. She spun her bow around in the air as small balls of yellow ether began to gather around with each rotation of her bow. When there was enough she stopped, and the balls of ether burst into a light yellow aura. “Now, let’s see whose Aryan ether is stronger, mine or yours.”

Weeee chapter 6 was nice!!!!! And you say my battle scenes are nice XD

Athena's ether, can't wait to see it in actionnnn. But wait, why is she able to use it if Ridus is condemned for it.............*thinks*.......*struggles*.......*blows up due to paradox-o-doom*.

The Mage action was pretty good as well. I wonder why Athena stayed behind though....... >_>

Lol i must be missing something. I gotta re-read some of this >_<
