Six God Generals *Heavy Spoilers*

It's Dist the Rose, not Dist the Reaper

Here's how I rate them.

1. Dist: Great character. He's one of the funniest fictional antagonists I have ever seen, video game or otherwise. He provides Abyss with a lot of entertainment and never grows boring. Personally, I love his narcissism and over the top theatrics. I also find his banter with Jade highly amusing. Their rivalry is great.

Furthermore, I like his backstory and motivations. They add a nice layer of depth to his character and make him more than a simple one-dimensional comic relief villain.

2. Largo: Largo's by far the most underrated of the God Generals. Overall, he's a calm, rational figure with a lot of wisdom under his belt. I for one can fully understand his philosophy on life and the motivations behind his actions. Additionally, he holds a lot of honor and will give you a clean fight without any strings attached.

3. Asch: I may not be his biggest fan, but I like Asch. Because of his tragic past, he wears a grumpy and distant persona in public. However, deep down he's actually a softie (as evidenced through his love for Natalia).

I have to give the man credit. Despite what transpired in his childhood, he never gave up on life and even cooperated with someone who he utterly detested (and with good reason, too) in order to stop Van. Overall, I feel that he's a strong and rather admirable character. Plus, he's a bad-ass.

4. Arietta: I find Arietta's devotion and love for Ion touching. However, I feel that she needed more personality. The majority of her lines consisted of "You killed mommy!" and "You took away Ion!" Personally, I would have expanded on her character more instead of having her rant on and on about her Liger mother or Ion whenever she was on screen.

But, overall, I like Arietta. She's certainly better than Legretta and Sync (both of whom I'll get to in a moment).

5. Legretta: Ah, Gretty. Not only was her personality boring, but her relationship with Van was unrealistic and did not make any sense. The only thing I honestly like about her is her fighting style, since it's similar to that of Haseo's from .hack//G.U. (only Legretta's no where near as awesome as Haseo is).

6. Sync: "I'm empty!" "I'm nothing!" "I'm trash!" "My existence is meaningless!" Cry me a river, you angsty *******. I was happy to put this punk out of his misery towards the end of the game.

Basically, what Koe said, but I would switch Lergetta with Arietta, because Legretta's way more kickass.

But Dist wins this one.

I absolutely love them all, but Dist has to be my favorite.

I've always loved comic relief characters with actual, serious backstory~ Little Saphir is adorable. ("Isn't it a nice day, Jade? May I carry your books for you, Jade? Jade~?")

... And I want a flying armchair.

Arietta. I loved her personality and her looks. O-O She easily snags my fave god general. I was quite sad when she died. D:

All of the God Generals, despite them having good reasons for acting the way they do, annoyed me, tbh. However, two of them didn't annoy me as much as the rest.

1) Asch: Now, don't get me wrong, I thought Asch was a douche most of the game. However, his scene with Natalia and his final scene earned him a couple of respect points. Plus, his final scene was just damned cool and kind of sad as well.

2)Largo: Eh, nothing much to say about him, he was just kinda there. His scythe was pretty neat, though.

Now the rest don't go in any particular order. I more or less echo Koe for these guys (except for Dist, of course).

Dist: Blargh. Not only did I find him unfunny, I wasn't even allowed the satisfaction of beating him up himself. Not cool.

Arietta: Waaaay to much of a whiner. She would have been really cool (probably my favorite) if she had lived up to her title and been more wild and bestial.

Sync: Dear Sync, kindly STFU with all your emo-ness. Thanks. It doesn't help that his voice actor, while good for Ion/Florian, sucked for him. Young boys shouldn't sound like young girls trying (and failing) to sound like young boys. >_>

Legretta: Somehow, she manages to be both somewhat confusing (Her whole thing with Van just made my eyes roll) and utterly dull at the same time.
