Ppl = People
ne = Anything
u = You

Heh, poking fun at people's spelling is amusing.
Anyhow, I love GTA. The free-roaming persistent city that is GTA is just fun to play around with. San Andreas sounds like loads of fun. It's said to focus on organized crime and appearence and excercise will also have affects on the game. _________________

| I always thought GTA was overrated. The only thing I felt was fun from the game was running around killing people and even that got tiring. I respect it for trying new things, but constantly giving the game 10's is uberannoying. |

typos are understandable, but lets not make posts too hard to read. _________________ "Taiyz: What the heck! You posted something! That's CRAZY. Downright INSANE, even."

I've never really played GTA...I don't own a system that has it (unless they have it on the GBA), and I truthfully don't really care. ^^; I'm sorry, but using hookers to fill up your heal and then shooting them down to get your money back just...doesn't appeal to me... _________________

I guess some people would enjoy GTA, but it's just not my type of game at all. I don't even really like any FPS or racer (Metroid and Mario Kart being some of the few exceptions), so I don't think I'd like a game that involved a ton of shooting and driving. By the way, does it even have a real plot or is it just about the killing? _________________

It does. In GTA3, you and your girlfriend rob a bank, but just as you make your way to the escape car, your girl turns around and shoots you. You end up taking up the charges and you're shipped off to prision. Luckily for you, the ride you're taking to prision has another important passenger and his associates intercept the ride. You're freed with the rest of the criminals, but one of them has injured hands and he needs your help to get him back to his place. That lands you your job and you begin to recieve jobs of more importance and take builds your criminal reputation as you work your way up from the underworld. Later on, people will recognize you and you'll be able to align yourself to a number of different crime families and organizations. Sometimes, you'll have to work for rival gangs and that leads to betrayal. In the end, you'll uncover that your girlfriend used the money she stole from you in order to traffic a new kind of drug onto the streets of Liberty City. None of the other crime lords wants that stuff on their streets, so you ultimately have to take her out and extract your revenge.
GTAVC has an even deeper plot with more characters. Even your closest friends can turn on you and how you've been setup to fail. I don't feel like retelling the story of VC, but you'll recognize certain Scar Face references. The plot is even more interesting this time around because you're playing as Tommy Vercetti and it gives the story a lot more personality. _________________

So basically, GTA is all about crimes, why no making games where you are a cop instead, or a good guy. I like Shemnue, it presents this travelling around town concept in an intelligent manner. GTA games have unintelligent and unthoght plots. In fact, I could make a GTA game myself very easily.
¨The guy is a mobster and his godfather was killed¨
Ha, another GTA type story
Or maybe:
¨He robbed a bank and his partner dies and he wants to avenge him.¨
This is merely a casual gamer type game. _________________ "Taiyz: What the heck! You posted something! That's CRAZY. Downright INSANE, even." |

There are games where you're the cop. Actually, you're always playing the good guy in video games. That's what makes GTA so unique. It's almost like why the Sopranos is so popular as a TV show. It's about a mafia family, but it also has great acting and dialogue. A game needs a unique concept, but it still needs gameplay and I believe GTA delivers that. _________________

The thing with Shnemue is that it is well presented and features minimalistc violence. Sure there is fighting, but at least you don't go around and kill people aimelessly. GTA is through mass killing... I don't think that such values should be shown to the players. I can't understand anyone who actually thinks GTA is good, in fact, I would say that this game pretty much stinks. I know my oppinion count for naught, but come on! Be realistic! Its a criminal gam! I'd rather play the hero forever that play the role of a vilain. _________________ "Taiyz: What the heck! You posted something! That's CRAZY. Downright INSANE, even." |

*Applauds* I'll tell my friend to add that to her library.*is broke* ^^0
GTA is fun, but I don't own any copy. I tend to play a lot of the same medieval-fantasy-magical games like ToS, so when I get to sit down with GTA, it's just a refreshing new breath of air. A break from what I usually play... and then I go back.
A lot of games have mass killing. It just depends what you're killing. People, monsters, cute pink fluffballs--it's all killing. Just because a plot can happen (and does happen) in real life doesn't make it unintelligent. _________________
