This time through the game, I used the map trick to keep Asch. In all the scenes, Luke still appeared, but he was not present in my party. Asch is a bit more interesting to play as he can cast a handful of spells, and you can't change most of his equipment; he loses some of the skills when you have him in your party earlier in the game, though. Anyway, the duel against Asch turned out a bit weird since I was using Asch as well. I uploaded a video of the battle here. I'd say the video is relatively spoiler free since it's obvious that there will be a duel with Asch before you even reach the title screen, but still, watch at your own risk if you haven't played the game. For a little preview of the video, you can look at these pictures... _________________

Ditto, I haven't played the game either I just know a little bit too much about the game*sigh*I just wish namco announced the game sooner or I wouldn't have spoiled myself . Oh well I'll still enjoy the game though since most of the stuff I know aren't major spoilers.(I know only 1) _________________ Currently Playing:

Yeah, I used that combo specifically to make Asch use Kouga Meishouzan so I could counter it, and the Explode thing was an added bonus. Too bad I didn't wait a second before casting it; they would've used it at the exact same time...

It depends on what you're doing when you try to use yours. If you're attacking him, then there's no escape. In this case, however, I wasn't attacking when Asch started; I had just landed, so I could quickly move away. It took a bit of testing to figure out how I could counter his counter... _________________

hmmm, seems like taking him on in some other mode is utterly impossible with his piss-poor Magic Attack/ Attack. I might play a game keeping Luke to around Level 50 and use the trick and just train him with herbs or something.
anyways, nice job Shinryu. _________________ 永遠の明日を誰もが願ってるよ
