Okay, I am updating my website, but my TOA Battle section is a little bare. Could someone please tell me everything there is to know about the following things?

Field of Foneme
Overlimits
Fone Slots
Capacity Cores

gamefaqs.com then go to the various faqs for this game.

As for overlimits same effect in this game as in symphonia ie Hi Ougis usable, can't be staggered at all, attack and defense up (physical attack and defense only.)

Yes boss's can be in overlimits and is a pain when in happens.

Any FS Chamber can be equipped to any skill, but you can only equip one FS Chamber at a time on a skill...

Unlike spells that can easily create FOF circles for FOF changes it takes 4 elemental tech skills to do this.

Also most HP recovery etc spells don't create FOF circles only "Raise Dead" Changed to Ressurection of the US/North American release and Revive create Light FOF circles the rest of the healing spells do not.

Hi Lv spells ie holy lance, ground dasher etc can create a full FOF circle (100% per use.) A low LV spell ie fireball would have to be casted at least 2 times for its FOF change.

FS chamber LV 6 effect triggers 100% of the time. At LV 1 Zero % to 19% of the time.

Uh...Fireball isn't in this game btw.

Assuming it does activate 0-19% of the time for Lv1....anybody else have the percent numbers for the other levels?

Or is Vegh just putting out random numbers? :/

According to the Tales of the Abyss Official Complete Guide...

Level 1 : 0-19%
Level 2 : 20-39%
Level 3 : 40-59%
Level 4 : 60-79%
Level 5 : 80-99%
Level 6 : 100%

Do FS chambers "effects" work for FOF changes?

Example place a charmine/red chamber on Jades rock blast spell for a damage increasing effect. Would casting eruption (rock blast on a fire/light FOF circle) increase its damage?

Or would only rock blast by itself increase damage but eruption would not?

I believe FS Effect do not work on FoF-Changes, only for the particular skill, from what I've played.

Do all FS work for all the skills? I tried putting a blue one on Guy's healing tech, but it doesn't do anything. Is it because the blue FS only work on spells?

No, some skills won't have any effect with certain FS Chambers. Cobalt Chambers aren't just for spells, but there isn't anything it can do with Guy's Shuukihou. Cobalt Chambers increase the blow away effect for attacks, increase the duration of Suigojin, decrease the recovery time after casting a spell, or make a status up or down effect more effective...
