how do the skills link together?
in syphonia it went attack->lvl1>lvl2->lvl which allowed u to get a lot
of attacks in
eternia and phantasia (the only other 2 ive played lol) both had
attack->basic skill->ougi (i think)
also im in a lot of vids im seeing guy performing a skill which looks like
hes slicing a yellow circle and then he does it again(i think) it looks like he repeats a lot of his skills is that part of the system
thanx to those who reply...its been enoying me 4 ages!!!! |

Normally it's attack->level 1 skill->level 2 skill. There's no level 3 skills in this.
With the help of AD skills, you can chain two level 1 skills and one level 2 skill in any order. FOFs count as level 2 skills, but you can still perform one after doing a normal level 2 skill. |

| technically Hi ougi's could count as a LV 3 skill only because you can do the following combo: Base Skill + Ougi Skill + Hi Ougi Triggered. |

| I don't really consider Hi-Ougi's level 3 skills since you can't use them whenever you want. You have to be in overlimit (as most peope know) to do them |

Well, you can't use FOF Changes whenever you want either, but those still factor into the combo equation as tiered techs. _________________

Yeah, FOF Changes still obey the basic chaining rules. If you use Dankuuken (which creates a wind FOF) and try to use Shishisenkou for a wind FOF change right afterwards, you can't because its Ougi-> Ougi. WHat it comes down to is that in the game there are two types of skills. A FOF change is essentially the same skill with a added move and element. For example, with Luke's Sougazan, you follow the normal move's motion, then at the top of the jump where the skill usually ends, Luke releases lightning bolts and then comes down on the enemy.
What it comes down to is that in regular combat, there are only basic and advanced skills. You can easily tell by the 2 types of icons in the main menu. |

I know they're level 3 skills, but I feel that calling them level 3 skills wouldn't make sense since level 2 skills are non existent in this game and calling them level 1 and level 3 skills would seem confusing. When I say level 1 and level 2 skills, I talking more along the lines of "normal skill" and "advanced skill." |
