Spiritua is not a guy! 
Actually, my theory is that the Spiritua from Sylvarant, and the Spiritua known as the angel of death in Tethe'alla are the same person. How she got to Tethe'alla, though... That'll remain a mystery.

| It never really says. I always thought spiritua from tethe'alla was a guy, while spiritua of sylverant was a girl and a chosen. |

But if Spiritua from Tethe'alla is called the angel of death, wouldn't it seem logical she's a girl who started her angel transformation?
Also, Spiritua is called the angel of death, because she/he killed the king, who was threatening Tethe'alla's chosen. Wouldn't Spiritua from Sylvarant be pissed if she saw the chosen from Tethe'alla get threatened?

Yeah. It usually pops up on your way to open the path to the Water Seal. Colette's like, "Wow, I'm making the same journey that Spiritua did!" And blah blah blah....
Then there's another one when you talk to Pastor Marche in the Palmacosta cathedral. Colette says, "Spiritua gave her first sermon here, right?
