~Cave~

Akurei looked around the cave, illuminated by the soft glow of Melethor's staff. There was a passage ahead. The stalactites seemed cracked at their bases and apparently, water had eroded away at them for a long time. Akurei turned to her companions. "We must tread carefully," she said, indicating the stalactites. "If we make any sudden movements that vibrate the cave's walls or floor, those might fall. Let us continue."

~The Cave~
Aria nodded at Akurei, concurring with her words.
"Indeed, Akurei. I will scout ahead, if none of you have any problems with that. My clan is known for stealth."
The quiet elf headed forwards into the passage, carefully examining the protruding stalactites in case of danger. After a short time, she heard sounds coming from deeper down the tunnel. Peering into the darkness, she made out the bulky, rocklike forms of golems.
Aria quickly made her way back to the others, saying,
"I found some golems up ahead- none of them look too dangerous, and I doubt they're smart enough to cause us any real problems, but there's a lot of them. Let us hurry."

~Field near Kaline City~

"Well Loki lets rest here for now." said Kai as they rested under a tree as some monsters went by, Loki barked.
"So do you think the Captial city will have any jobs?" he said to Loki who barked again.
"Yeah, I hope they do...I mean were almost out of supplies."
Loki gave a small whimper as he looked at his master
"Don't worry we still have some food, so you want the chicken or Meat?" he replied as Loki barked once for the chicken.
"I thought you would want that." Said Kai as he gave Loki the Chicken and ate the meat.

Three Mantids closed Sataka in a triangle. The one to his right rushed at him. Sataka quickly jumped to the side as it ran into a tree. Another tried to jab him with its Praying Arms. The first shot missed, but, the second got his stomach, blood ozing slowly. "Arg! If anyone can hear me, I'd like some Help!" It tried jabbing him again. "Missed!" Sataka said as He choped the arm in half. The last Mantid Spat Acid at him. "Ah!" He yelled as acid got on his arm. Sataka got out his dagger and swiftly chopped its head off. More Mantids, Gold Beetles, Cave Catapillers and Large Scropions came all around the clearing in the forest. "I am So Screwed."

Farore was taking a walk early before she decided where to go. She headed towards the forest as it reminded her of home and she could get some practice in to hopefully. She then heard a cry of pain in the distance but her demon ability kicked in and ran as fast as she could towards the sound. As she came to the clearing she saw Sataka surrounded by giant bugs. She drew her sword and cries out, "Phantom Cloak!" she leaves a copy of her self as she leaps over one of the scorpians and does a flip slash cutting it in half, she then parries and cuts th head of a beetle off. She leaps over to Sataka and says,"This would've been easier if you waited for me!" she brings her sword down on a mantid,"For a little guy you sure find big trouble!!"

"well Loki let have a quick rest and enter the city later." said Kai but Loki was already sleeping
Kai put his hat over his face and dozed off thinking about his hometown.

~18 years ago~(Side-story)(a little background info)
Aubery Konosuke was holding the new born Kai as his mother lied there dying from internal bleeding. His Father Oyen held his wife's hand, as she cried, "Please take care of our son...please Oyen..." her hand fell and she had passed before his eyes. He got up and said, "I want nothing to do with that cursed boy."
Aubery looked at him and said, "But sir? your wife said..." he cut her off and yelled.
"Take that kid and get him out of here, you filthy half-elf or I'll have you executed along with him!" with that she ran out of the house with Kai wrapped in a blanket.

~Forest Near Talis~

Endymion ran faster as the sounds drew nearer, his boots pounding loudly against the ground. At last, he reached a grand portal from which flowed the din of battle.

In the distance, he saw his angelic companion leaning against his sword for support, trying desperately to fend off a rage-filled woman.

Endymion cried, "Forbidden spires of frost, obey my command! Crystal Strike!" Several spikes of ice materialized and flew through the air toward the woman, dashing her against the far wall.

"Max! Are you all right?" asked the elf.

Max screamed ¨Endymion! Good timing! Listen to me, please... Don't kill her... She's posessed.¨

Max got back on his feet, who felt pretty heavy. It was wierd since when he became an angel, he felt so light that he sometimes though he'd fly away. Max threw his shield to Endymion and said ¨She uses long range attacks use this just in case! I'll block the arrows sent towards me with my sword!¨

Endymion had never handled a shield before, but Max's guard fell naturally into his outstreched hand.

He said, "Max, are you certain that you don't need this? I couldn't possibly . . ."

Max shook his head. "I don't need it."

Endymion readied himself as the possessed woman stumbled to her feet. "How dare you interfere?" she muttered. "You'll both pay with your lives!"

Sataka was glad to see her. "Ah, thank god you're here." He disappeared for half a second and swiftly reappeared as the tails of all of the scorpions fell off. "And don't call me little." He ran to the exact middle and he was surrounded. "About time I learned something new! Holy Lance!" Holy symbols grew from under Sataka. Magical Holy beams erouded from around him and hit Most of the Bugs, Killing Half of them Instantly. "Come on! They're going after your fore-shadow! Now is our chance." And he began Running oppisite from where he entered.

Drake muttered some of the best curse words he knew under his breath. He hated fog. Not knowing what was happening to everyone else was terrifying.

"WHERE ARE YOU GUYS?!" he yelled, hoping that he wouldn't attract enemies to him by his shouts. "I'LL EVEN TAKE JIN, JUST ANYONE!!" Right at that moment, he tripped on a root of a tree.

Great...some strong, tough mercenary I turned out to be...

The boy woke up feeling ill from the rocking of the boat. He groaned as he moved, realizing how stiff he was. He tried to remember what he was doing on the boat when a gruff voice spoke to him. "What do we 'ave here?" a gruff looking man asked, "a stowaway, eh? Well your lucky we just arrived in Palmacosta, or I would 'ave shoved you overboard!"
Before he could speak, the man lifted the boy up off the ship and face down on solid ground. "An' don't come back!" the shipman yelled. The boy got up and walked sleepily through the dark streets, trying to recollect his thoughts, but soon he lay down in the street and closed his eyes...

The field seemed to stretch for miles. Raven began to wish she had never left the last city she had been through. Whatever it had been. All of them seemed to blend now. She wanted to somehow find some way, A rheiard, or something, to get back to Tethe'alla so she could go home to Mizuho. It didn't seem like that would happen.
Straining her eyes, Raven hoped to see the faint outline of another town on the horizon. She had gald, she could afford to stay overnight in an inn somewhere. "Nothing." She said aloud. "Absolutely nothing, in any direction. Wonderful." She laughed bitterly to herself and sat down by a tall, wispy-looking tree. She stared at her leather boots and sighed. For once in her life, she was lonely. It made her wish that she had kept that wolf pup she had found the other day as a pet, just to have someone to talk to.
She brushed a long, black strand of hair away from her face and stared at the sky through the dappled gaps in the leaves. Well, I definitely won't start talking to myself. she concluded. It would only attract the monsters who roamed around her, and her "Evanescence" skill could only obscure her for five seconds. Not that she would mind a battle now, but she couldn't risk getting hurt and being stranded out here. She only had one lemon gel and two apple gels. Not enough to save her if anything happened. These thoughts didn't bother her too much, she never really felt scared. Raven Larke was a strange girl, but she always had been.

Ivy shot two arrows in Max's direction, but Max twirled his sword and cut them in their tracks. It seemed that Ivy had the ability to replenish her arrow supply at ease. Max had heard tale about this, but he never actualy saw her in action. She ran towards Max, and kicked him in the guts. She screamed ¨Upon my master's wish, you shall die!¨. Max grabed her foot and hurled her to the floor ans said ¨This master you speak of is dead, regain your consciousness!!!¨.

Of course, Ivy wouldn't hear it and pushed him away from her, screaming ¨Poison arrow!¨ Max got scorched by the arrow, but it wasn't enough to bring the angel down. Max Decided to take flight, but Ivy shot a few arrows at him. Max blocked five of them, but a sixth scratched him again. Max landed, and screamed ¨Ice storm!¨. The attack landed a hit on Ivy, having her stumble, but the actual meaning of the attack was for the cold wind to put the fog into movement and blind Ivy's vision.
