Resident Evil: Extinction

1/10

Absolutely horrible movie. Bad storyline, craptastic characters (Alice the OC Mary-Sue especially. Guess what, guys. Now, she can even make rocks float in her sleep), terrible love story (it had virtually no build-up. When Carlos and Alice kissed before he died, I went "WTF?"), little-to-no moments of excitement (it's supposed to be a horror film. The fact that there wasn't a single moment in it that made me jump says something), a really pathetic anti-climatic battle at the end (it nearly put me to sleep), and a rushed ending with a pasted on cliff hanger (the last thing any of us needs is another awful Resident Evil film).

It scores a one instead of a zero, though, because some parts in it were so lame that they made me laugh.

Must not be a Resident Evil (game) fan. Cause in case you weren't aware, Resident Evil fans hate the movies, whereas non-RE fans like the movies.

Children of Men: Easily the best movie of 2006. An interesting story, a great cast of characters played by great actors, amazing cinematography... truly incredible. I don't like number ratings, but 10/10 I guess?

While CoM is quite good, Science of Sleep was the best of 2006.
Last 2007 film seen: Bug 7.5/10

Superbad - 5/10

Mediocre teenage movie plot; the only thing that kept my attention was the penis drawing thing and the McLovin scenes. Other than that I could have watched any other movie that has teenagers in it.

United States of Leland

8/10

A bit rushed near the ending, and not entirely exceptional from a technical standpoint, but the characters are interesting enough to keep you fixated on their issues, and the story is compelling enough to have me thinking about it days afters seeing it.

The Heartbreak Kid - 7/10

There were other good moments, but a lot of that movie was too guy for me. Then again I'm of the opinion that the McLovin/Cops scenes are so good they outweigh all the bad, and I'd give the movie an 8/10

I'd give it 10/10 I think they did everything perfectly. Like one review I read said, everyone in that was hilarious. They could have been the worst actor ever or someone I hated but if they were in it, they had me in stitches. I don't think they did one thing wrong in that movie.

Umm, I most recently saw Eastern Promises with Viggo Mortenson. It was interesting. Not such a fan of the 8 minute naked fight scene with lots of blood and stabbing, that was gross, but it mostly held my attention and Naomi Watts is fabulous. I'd say 5 or 6/10. Worth seeing if you like russian mafia movies with violence and and russian accents and stuff.
